Same shit, new box.

We knocked it around nicely without creating any chances - didn't look like scoring, and it took a fluke from the edge of the box to get us on the scoresheet. Defence was dreadful.

I seem to remember we used to have a manager who talked about controlling the game without possession - Charlron did that brilliantly tonight . Could have played until next week and not scored.

I think people put far too much faith in the. "Cult of the manager". Simply changing that makes no difference.

Played very well tonight. Don't know how we didn't take any points from that, but leaving feeling positive and looking forward to the next game. Great turn out and vocal throughout. Hughesy, good to meet you.

Onwards and upwards.

Final words to CYL - star man for me.

The Bolton fans came over loud and clear well done to all keep the positivity up and we will start moving forward sooner rather than later.

Did you go to the game? If you did, I'm surprised that is what you took from tonight. I haven't spoken to anyone who left the match thinking negatively. If we play like that every game, we'll be mid table or better come May.

Meh not overly fussed about the result.

Its a long road to the end of the season.

We're not going to win every game especially away from home.

Roll on Saturday

You talk bollocks

We played them completely off the park tonight and for me it was one of our best performances for years

Yes we lost but if you replaced Beckford with, well, anybody we would have won the game. The guy missed two absolute sitters and 2-3 easy chances

I am sure NL will sort this sooner than later and we will start to climb this league

Nice getting home after clapping the team off even after a defeat

Onwards and upwards NLSWA

How come mason hasn't had any game time yet? Any suggestions?? He's bagged a few already

I think Lennon giving players we've signed permanently the first opportunity.

That was my take on KC comments but as I only heard the commentary Im pleased you confirmed my thoughts after listening to the game, Lennon had 1 week and had achieved a lot in that time. Onward and upwards.

When did we last have 19 shots and 14 corners (to 1)? And 62% possession? Away from home? If that's not progress I don't know what is. NLSWA.

Unlucky tonight, most positive performance in a long time. Looked to get the ball forward every time we had it, fought for every 2nd ball and generally just looked really up for it. Chungy and Spearing look like different players.

its been said a few times but if we play like that we'll win more than we will lose. Starting to feel proud of the whites again.....

we lost that one, too

Lennon has been playing with 1 upfront & last season Mason played well alongside a target man (Juke) but was pisspoor on his own. Not seen tonight's game but Beckford played well at Birmingham.

Maybe we'll play with 2 upfront in the home games & Mason will get his chance then.

i dont see us playing 2 up front, unless he reckons he can get a tune out of lee on the wing

I missed that one as well, but I'm sure we didn't have that much possession (it wasn't in DF's DNA). And as you said, Leeds are a poorer team (and were all over the shop when we played them). As NL says, winning is what it's all about, but one week into a very tough gig there are plenty of encouraging signs.

Aye. Play 2 upfront & the balance goes to pot with Lee getting sidelined again. I think the problem so far has been in Pratley & Feeney who do their share of work for the team, but lack the quality to create decent chances. Early days though.

Played well in posession but didnt create any real clear cut chances of note.

Pretty similar performance to Birmingjam in many ways apart from Charlton are a much better team.

If we keep up that level of performance we will be okay.

Danns played well and i like him and Spearing as a centre mid partnership.

We have dominated both games in midfield which is a refreshing change after the last 2 years of dross.

Btw the stewards at half time where complete bellends. Think me and garrp actually left beer just to get away from the jobsworth. Going mental at us as we crossed the yellow painted line in the floor with our beers. Naughty boys

Anyway onwards and upwards 3 points on Saturday and we will be laughing

I read a comment/quote from Lennon on marc iles twitter earlier about him being unhappy with the unbalance , too many centre mids and no wide men

LENNON: "We were asleep for the goals and in the end we lost the game. Playing well is no consolation." #BWFC

That part makes him a much better manager than Freedman.

Freedman would have moaned about not getting the luck. I'm really positive Lennon can turn us into a decent side again.

Another great post-match interview. This guy demands results. No ifs or buts. No 'fine margins'. No bullshit.

Stop quoting shots, they mean absolutely nothing.

We were actually very good tonight until we got to the final third where we were poor.

Chungy was superb in the 10 role again but when he played in feeney or pratley outwide nothing came of it.

We probably had two half decent chances (both beckford) where if we hit the target we would have scored.

Anyway very much improved in our build up play but we are still a long way off when it comes to the final third.

Shame the sunshine bus crew were out again and what the hell was that blue and white jumper

Haha. Seen some real bad states watching Wanderers over the years but that jumper was the worst ive ever seen.

Aye. That jumper was shocking.

'No, no, it says bolt but when i lift my arm up it says bolton'

Wtf
