Bloke I was speaking to in Nam Ploy end of last season (not that magician) is friends with his agent. Said we had an agreement in place to sign him, so I presume he was part of our plan if we didnt go up.

I like him and he caused us no end of grief in that 2nd half at the Reebok last season.

Think a few pool were divided on him but Evattball hardly lends itself well to a target man lump running into the channels.

Aye I think he would have been a decent addition for us in L1. If we had signed him now the internet would have melted though 😃

Fletcher's a great signing on a free for L1. A significant loss for Blackpool.

Its mad the difference between a free transfer and paying £1mil like us and Huddersfield for eg have done in recent seasons.

PS I think we need a separate thread for other teams transfers, then folk can choose if they want to read them.

I guess none of us really know what we have available for transfers but some folk are just being silly. Personally I like the way we are going especially with the younger talented players around 21 or 22 year olds with enough athleticism to compete and potential to develop like Watson, Stephenson if he comes and Kenny and ACD if we can sign them permanently. The idea of developing a young squad together is appealing especially as we have a few mature players to throw into the mix to help them come along. We may well not get them, but the thinking seems to be right.

We could eventually become a force without breaking the bank if we buy well at this stage and given our brush with oblivion I’d much prefer it to splashing the cash on marquee signings.

Malaga could only get a home goalless draw with Almeria in the playoff first leg last night. All to do away on Wednesday night if they want to be entertaining the Madrid teams and Barca etc. next season. The fans did their bit to stop the Almeria players getting a decent rest mind Haven't seen this since the dagoes in Guadalajara did it to the deserving winners England in 1970. I'm sure it's happened - just I haven't been aware of it.
