frank_spencer Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I'm also not having that they took 2,500 to Barnsley either. They've never taken 2,500 anywhere. Looks like they took 2500 13yr olds to be fair. Kids for a quid? Quote
MalcolmW Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 (edited) Carlisle leading Blackburn... and Leeds losing to Chesterfield. Edited August 7, 2013 by MalcolmW Quote
MalcolmW Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Blackburn out on pens, with a man sent off in extra time. Note the second round is a few days before Wanderers visit Blackburn, who will not have a midweek game. Quote
Marc505 Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Its around this time in the season I feel a bit jealous of all these teams in Europe especially when those playing some of their first ever games in UEFA comps are just starting out. Come on lets get this Capital One cup won! Quote
gonzo Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Kind of today's footy related, but I'm loving these football gold efforts on sky sports late of an evening. Newcastle Liverpool from 98 on at the minute... How ridiculously superb was Michael Owen at that time?! Fuck me you forget. Quote
Guest bwfcdan Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Swansea in Malmo tonight, thought they'd have took more tbf. Still, I'm quite jealous they're in that position!! Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 That's only about 100 more than Hibs took there, and Swansea had a fortnight's extra notice. Quote
Alf Hartigan Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Only caught 10 mins of Swansea but saw the first leg and they are some side. Can see them challenging for top 6 this year. Quote

Poor effort, I'm sure we would have taken a lot more than that especially when you consider to what we too Bulgaria for our first game. Edited August 8, 2013 by Mounts Kipper Quote

Lesbian Keith Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 In the FA Cup? What a ridiculous comparison. it is may be a ridiculous comparison. So basically your argument is that people will come back we are in europe, fickle fans that makes my stomach turn. over and out keith Quote
SalfordOriginal Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 In fairness they were 4-0 up so guess most saving themselves for the group. I classed every away euro jolly as our last!! Glad they came to an end eventually Quote

So basically your argument is that people will come back we are in europe, fickle fans that makes my stomach turn. over and out keith Come again? Fickle fans my arse, you're talking shite. Most folk can't afford to go week in week out, doesn't make them any less of fan though. Quote

Most folk can't afford to go week in week out, doesn't make them any less of fan though. I'm not one of these knob heads who claims to be a bigger fan than tom, dick, harry or even dennis for that matter.. I did most of the european trips myself at a tender age and was the best time of my life. May be wrong but about 75 fans bothered to make the journey, went villa a few seasons ago when the guy died in our stand, no more than 200 fans.. Not even mentioning brighton in the league this year... We are not what you think we are, we are bolton. over and out keith Quote
Guest bwfcdan Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Again, you're talking shite. Nobody has said our away support is great, but the fact remains as in previous European games, we'd more than likely take good numbers. Quote

Big E Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 We love going away and gettin pissed. We would take loads!!!! You are trying the bigger fan line. Nobody gives two hoots. Most probably missed it due to the fact that football is not the be all and end all Quote

Guest bwfcdan Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 (edited) what shite am i talking? over and out keith I just said? You're arguing the point that we've had some shite followings over the years when in fact nobody has denied that? But, as others have said we'd more than likely take a good following If we were to play in Europe again. Edit - Oh and you are wrong with the 75 figure. And we took over 1,100 to Brighton you moron, an excellent following considering our form and league position. Was also more than they brought up here. Edited August 8, 2013 by bwfcdan Quote
