famouswanderer Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Looks like a great toss to win. Going to be a long hard slog this afternoon/evening. They should be eyeing a huge total Quote
Traf Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 500+ on this wicket. Drawn test, unless we fuck up with the bat. Quote
superjohnmcginlay Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 five day pitch, five full houses.......... ££££££'s or just great batting from team Oz? Quote

superjohnmcginlay Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Batting track doing less than fuck all for the bowlers. The money pitch then, Like you've mentioned only we can fuck it up! Which we are more than capable of. Quote
Traf Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 We should have been preparing a pitch to suit us with a view to going 2-0 up. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 five day pitch, five full houses.......... ££££££'s or just great batting from team Oz? Ashes are usually sold out. However if pitches like this become more common so will the tedious cricket. Hardly going to keep interest going in the longer form Quote

ex_midlandwhite Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Scoreboard pressure is a funny thing but eventually the way the top order have batted means we were going to be seriously embarrassed. This could be for 6 by now Quote
Guest Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Plenty of rain around on Sunday Seems a long way off Quote
maaarsh Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Good first session and the follow on comes in to reach, then at least we force them to win it. Quote
Alf Hartigan Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 1-1. throwing the towel in? bit premature that. Quote
Guest Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 This can be saved and will totally demoralise them if we do ( a la Brisbane 10/11) Quote
bolty58 Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Hopefully will be saved and if the weather plays a part it will be doubly delightful for me as, just as the Fannyatics were waving umbrellas in the crowd at the first test, they were praying for rain down here too. Oh how I would love a deluge to contribute to a draw. Here's hoping. Some of the media coverage down here is excruciating. Best I heard this morning was 'clearly, we have lulled the Poms into a false sense of security and will go on to a comfortable series win with ease now'. I have wanted to kick the TV in on previous occasions but kicking the car radio in whist driving would have taken more flexibility than I now possess. Precipitation causing consternation. My motto for the weekend. Quote
