One thing I'll never understand. The Aussies wank on about Lords being the birthplace of cricket and the absolute pinnacle of the sport. They love to play there - every kid down here dreams of playing at Lords. If this was the other way round, there is no fucking way Lords would be on the programme for an England visit down here. They proudly boast every time that they have rigged the pitches and the order of the Tests to try to give Australia the chance of building a series lead early yet we lovely folk give them what they want. It would be Durham, Headingley, Old Triffid, Trent Bridge and Edgbaston if it were up to me. They think of London as home from home.
