This is the worst we've played under Lennon. Despite us being very good at home, we're still a very poor away side. I can't wait for the window so Lennon can get rid of the shite we still have.

He's gotten what he can out of this lot and will continue to do so

 

We can still challenge for play offs but only if he has an amazing window. We will see what he's like at talent identification and attraction

Lennon not happy with the ref. Reckons two 'shocking decisions' have cost us. He thought our disallowed goal was onside and their winner was handball. He also said he couldn't see us losing the game and that we controlled the second half. 

 

He says it's 'imperative' that we 'get our skates on' and add quality to the squad if we are going to challenge for the play-offs. We haven't got any money to spend and we're looking at loans unless he can sell someone but there's been no enquiries about any of our players so far.

 

He sounded very frustrated that Huddersfield could bring on Wells whilst we only had Heskey on the bench. He said that if we lose any more strikers, we'll be playing kids from the youth team. Not sure if we can recall Beckford, or whether he'd want to.

Draw would've been fair result there goal looked a handball, can't comment on our offside goal. Heskey is worth 10 minutes maximum.

Hudds, were better at pressing the play than us and looked more dangerous. Hunt the c**t had the beating of Ream and really showed him up. I felt we gave them far too much space to play into, I'm afraid the best team won on the day. We are not the finished article and this may be a blessing in disguise, with the window about to open. Still a massive improvement on Freedman and a couple of additions could make a real difference.

I had a feeling we might struggle after an all action game vs Blackburn.

 

Eidur scores to make it 2-0 and we probably win. Great save by the keeper mind.

 

Trotter doesnt give the ball away for both goals and we get something from the game. Surprised he started over Spearing unless he isnt fully fit. There was 4 or 5 who were below par though, just sods law he was the unlucky one who got punished twice.

 

Not our best, i think the couple of key injuries are taking their toll on our small squad. Hopefully a couple of new faces will arrive in Jan.
