I was feeling a little down the other day so I threw bleach all over a Pakistani. That brightened Mahmood straight away.

I had the pleasure of seeing Joy Division play live at Blackburn King Georges hall in 1979, they were supporting The Buzzcocks and tickets were £2 iirc, when JD played there must have only been around 200 people in the room.

It was fairly obvious they could "make it" and  they were certainly different to any other band around at the time.

Sadly the lead singer topped himself 6 months later.

I saw James(he of oh sit down fame)at Salford tech in the early 80,s.they used to play a lot of local talent back then! There were about 50 of us watching...shouldn't imagine they still do this type of thing now!
