Let's not forget when Lennon came in we were bottom. ITS JOB DONE for this season thank fuck we didn't drop.

Just back and Bournemouth was very nice in the spring sun. Sky bastards.

  • Admittedly there are some fucking retards on here, but I'm wagering that most people knew the difference between definite and indefinite.   Stick to googling stats or quoting wikipaedo.

We're 18th because we took 5 points from the first 11 games. We've been playing catch-up all season. Were you saying we had a raft of shite to clear out when we'd lost 1 in 13 earlier this season?

The reasons we've stalled are blatantly obvious. Injuries to key players and loss of form from others. Not many teams in this league could cope with losing the likes of Pratley, Craig Davies, Mark Davies, Clough, Wheater... that's half a team that would probably be starting for us if they were fit.

Im happy to have a bet with anyone that we wont reach the play offs.

I dont even want to wait until august to see who we sign... Its not happening

How many of Bournemouth's players would you have said would get in any of last season's top six? Bearing in mind that they finished 10th last season and even Beckford managed to score against them.

Bournemouth were a club progressing and on the up with a style of football they were developing. It is like that first season back in the Championship under Rioch, we finished bottom half but the cup run, some of the performances and the quality of some players you could tell we were upwardly mobile with the right addition here or there.

Our current situation is absolutely nothing like that.

Injuries - fair enough; but this adds weight to the argument that there is a lot of shit, as when replacements for 1st team regulars have come in we have struggled....therefore by default that makes them not good enough....right?

And "Loss of form"??

Straws...

Clutching...

Who is to say if the anomaly was when they played well or when they played badly? Either way it doesn't bode well that they cannot keep it up over a season

Another 4 wins from those first 11 games and we would still only be 10th.

We also have the 2nd worst away record in the division

There is a whole lot of wank in that squad - mainly from Deadly Doug

If we can shift it, I'm pretty sure Lennon will. He's alluded to being unhappy with much of the squad on a number of occasions - be that their ability, fitness, or most prominently their mental strength / resolve.

I think it's illustrated quite clearly by the laughable notion that Ream was once again Player of the Season

Don't get me wrong, I believe if Lenny can shift the shite and keep the ones he wants....keep bringing youngsters through and top up with a couple of strong, experienced players we will be ok

But if we play the entirety of next season with this squad, we will finish in a similar place....hence it's got a lot of shite in it

No team in the Championship carries a squad of first team regulars. The squad players we have are plenty good enough for a bit part role. The fact that they've been asked to do more that that is solely down to our injury list.

Players are going to be inconsistent at this level. That's why Derby are limping over the line having looked nailed on certs for promotion earlier in the season. If these players could produce a consistent level of performance week in, week out, they'd be in the Premier League. Dervite wasn't shit earlier in the season but he's been terrible in the last two games. So yes, loss of form plays a part.

Meanwhile this raft of shite that you want rid of remains a mystery...

It is no mystery

You names one there - Dervite for a start. He's shite

You'd be better served on your ramblings regarding Coyle

By definition - your 'squad players' aren't as good as your 'first choice 11 players'.

Our squad players have had to play a lot more matches than we'd have liked and it's shown.

That doesn't mean some of them aren't shite though does it?

Any defence built around Ream, Dervite and Moxey is going to struggle.

Dervite played virtually every single game in the run which effectively saved us earlier in the season. Two defeats in thirteen games. Fifteen games if you include the cup games against Wigan and Liverpool when we kept a clean sheet at Anfield.

In fact he's played most of this season, mainly due to injuries. It's no wonder he's struggling a bit now. He's a decent enough squad player.

Who else would be sharing this raft of shite with him then?

Im happy to have a bet with anyone that we wont reach the play offs.

I dont even want to wait until august to see who we sign... Its not happening

I'll have £20 with you.

Money goes to Brian house kids cancer unit at trinity hospice.

A handful of games doesn't change the fact that he cannot defend.

You going to answer my question?

I would suggest that you cannot

Thirteen games is not a 'handful' of games. It's almost a third of the season. He wouldn't have had to play the number of games he has if Wheater had been fit.

I've already said that we don't need a wholesale clear out, so by definition the only players i think we need to get rid of are the ones who have played no role since Lennon took over, like Medo, or those who are already on loan elsewhere with the exception of Baptiste.

Are you ever going to tell us who you'd get rid of?

If we can get a midfield destroyer that everyone say we need, that will straight away help you defense out, it would seem at the moment teams can just waltz through midfield, if you can stop that that gives the back 3 / 4 some protection which they are not getting now, it would also allow the flair players in midfield to their job, it may not need whole sale changes maybe just 2 our 3 players that will help knit the team together, remember is a good football team is a sum of its parts, you don’t need 11 world beater, you need 11 players that can play with each other as one single unit

Little whit don't be offering that bet stick it on with the bookies surely be 10/1 upwards not the even money you have offered Horwich he could just lay it off.

My bet next season is going to be for a top ten finish its doable I don't think it takes a lot to vastly improve at this level. Bournemouth were 10th season before last so its not impossible.

Bournemouth were 10th season before last so its not impossible.

Bournemouth were 10th last season. The season before they finished second in League One.

Preston & Bristol will be chomping at the bit.

CHAMPING. Champing at the bit.

Sorry, pet hate.

And there is quite a raft of those that have not made any positive impression since the Lennon revolution began

You continue to ignore my question because you clearly cannot answer it

Which is highly usual for you

I have no idea what your question is.

Nor do i have any idea who these players are that you're referring to because you refuse to name them.

Can you list for me players in th squad that have done consistently well for us this season?

It's above

You won't because you can't

Can you list for me players in th squad that have done consistently well for us this season?

I would say Lonergan, Mills, Ream, Pratley (before injury), Heskey, and if they hadn't gotten injured Clough and Clayton were in rich form.

Unpopular opinion maybe, but I'd say until recently Danns and Feeney were pretty solid too.

Honestly, it goes to show what kind of season we've had where most (if not all) of my list of players I think have done consistently well have been injured at some point or other.

Edited by SnoopJohnnyJohn

Reading this with interest and I'm firmly in the Jules camp. I'll name players who aren't good enough starting with the obvious, Feeney - don't know what he offers apart from effort, no quality in either crossing or finishing. Dervite - not good enough. Lonergan - contract up and lets in too many easy ones and his parrying of shots usually ends up in a goal. Trotter - did think there may be a player in there but can't stay fit and for a big lad doesn't impose himself. Moxey - effort doesn't excuse his lack of ability or positioning. Danns - thinks he's better than he is and loses possesion too much. Mills - if he wanted to stay he would have signed already, no composure on the ball. Spearing - not in Lennys plans and not mobile enough. Craig Davies - too injury prone and needs too many chances to score when fit. Rob HalL - Billy big Bollocks and far to light weight. Probably a few young un's like Eaves etc.

Tim Ream as a CB he's a no from me and depends if Lenny sees him as a regular left back if he can get someone else in.

Big job on in my opinion and will probably take more than this summer. Just want to see us competative which we definitely aren't away from home.

It's above

You won't because you can't

I've already answered it. I said i'd get rid of those that are either not part of his plans or have already left on loan. The rest are plenty good enough as either first team regulars or squad players, so by definition if i'd keep them, then the rest have all played a role this season and have a role to play next season. I don't really know which part of that you're struggling to understand.

I've also said that it's impossible for clubs at this level to carry two first teams. You'll always have a first team and a reserve team making up the squad. Anyone who thinks you can just trade squad players for first team players from other clubs should offer their services to BWFC because they're obviously wasted on here.

Now this raft of shite. So far Dervite is sailing on it alone. Who else is joining him?
