frank_spencer Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Frank nailed it. The panel gets it pretty much spot on but the fourth, fifth and sixth ranked teams can cause debate. I am always pissed off that the Badgers aren't in the four every year but they seem to make the 10 very often. Wouldn't change my loyalties though. Been to Camp Randall a few times and am hooked. Still enjoy watching some of the other games though. The Aggies, Michigan, Alabama and a few others can throw up some great games when they aren't demolishing some easy beats. ESPN have the badgers at 11 after this week. http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/20861448/power-rankings-week-5-clemson-tigers-move-top Barring unexpected results i can see the SEC title coming down to Alabama vs whoever wins in the Georgia Florida game in Jacksonville in 4 weeks if Georgia or florida wins that then they'll join Bama and Clemson in the top 4 Quote
bolty58 Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 (edited) ESPN have the badgers at 11 after this week. Watched it live Frank. I can't tell you in appropriate words what an experience it is to attend a game there. They sing this song "Varsity" before the game. Alumni in their 70's alongside kids with tears streaming down their face. A bit nuts I give you but quite moving all the same. Edited October 1, 2017 by bolty58 Quote
frank_spencer Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 (edited) I meant in their rankings rather than on the telly. Some of the college traditions are bloody strange but spectacular to watch. At trip to Athens Ga to see the bulldogs between the hedges is on my bucket list. The mrs and i have grand plans of a US road trip for our 10yr anniversary taking a good chunk of the East of yankland hopefully take in Heinz field too Edited October 1, 2017 by frank_spencer Quote

Escobarp Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Ravens or dolphins. Who's the most embarrassing that's the Question I knew The ravens were bad before last week but dolphins losing to the jets of all teams miserably and then this possibly tips it in their favour Quote

Who's the most embarrassing that's the Question I knew The ravens were bad before last week but dolphins losing to the jets of all teams miserably and then this possibly tips it in their favour The Ravens by far more embarrassing, to get blown away by the Jags of all teams. The Saints were favourites going into the game and were a bit bobbins themselves Quote
Escobarp Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Jags who are 2-1 and who were beaten by a good looking Tennessee team this year? Jets shouldn't be putting that many points on the board in half a season never mind one game. Miami will be lucky to go 4-8 at best this season Jags will have a better record imo Quote
Escobarp Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Saying that the titans are running into the future all star qb in Watson Tonight. Quote
MancWanderer Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 The Saints/Dolphins game was truly shite Quote
Zico Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Right now things looking good with bills winning and patriots losing though no doubt won't look so good by end of the games Quote
frank_spencer Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Shazier and Bell having a cracking game against the ratbirds. Antonio Brown has been triple covered at times so its given space for Bell Quote
L/H White Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 broncos defence completely stopped the raiders run game last night which won them the game thought the raiders was gonna win it on the final drive with the replacement QB on though Quote

Traf Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Backup QB fared much better, getting rid of the ball quicker. Though Denver switched off when Carr went off and became too complacent. Quote

Traf Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 ...but, for a team renowned as being all about defensive strength, that was some one handed catch touchdown by A.J. Derby. Certainly was. had that ponce Beckham caught it, the media would have wanked themselves into a frenzy. Quote

That one edelman/amendola (I get em mixed up) caught in the superbowl is the best catch I've ever seen. Aj Derby one yesterday was made better by the seeming lack of effort he caught it with. Like catching the football at arms length one handed was just an everyday thing. Quote
L/H White Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 (edited) Any news on Carr yet? Hopefully nothing more serious than a sore back. fracture in his back 2-6 weeks ravens and chargers next so still hopeful of a couple of wins Edited October 2, 2017 by L/H White Quote

Don't quite get it unless it's a NYcentric thing or he just has the 'modern' image. I think he looks like a like he's trying to mimic some sort of exotic parrot but then again, I suspect he wouldn't think much of a Mod bouffant or a no. 2 with a shaved in parting. L/H White Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 nice little spread bet for this weekend giants over chargers -3.5 colt over 49ers -1.5 raiders over ravens -2.5 jets over browns +1 pays just under 14/1 Quote
