bolty58 Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Now now girls. Jealousy doesn't suit either of you. Nothing to do with it mate. I always look and hope for them and Notre Dame to lose. Quote
frank_spencer Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 This is shocking from the Ravens. Hilarious as a Steelers fan but to travel all that way and produce this shocker is almost wanderers levels of shite. Quote
Escobarp Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Nearly as bad as the raiders last night. Truly awful they were Some strange results last night. Didn't see the bears winning a game this season if I'm honest. Rogers got the cheese heads out of jail yet again. Falcons impressing the most I would say at present. Quote
frank_spencer Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Some strange results last night. Didn't see the bears winning a game this season if I'm honest. Steelers manage to lose to at least one shit team each season. Week 3 and already not many unbeaten sides left Quote
bolty58 Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 So many games decided at the death. Great for the neutrals I suppose. Need the cold weather to roll in in Green Bay to reinforce the home advantage. Ice bowl games find out those travellers from warmer climes. Just a nod to the College game again - the Aggies at the Razorbacks was a belter. Quote
MickyD Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 owner of Dallas Cowboys had told all his staff that anyone not standing with hand over heart will be finding themselves a new club. Quote
tyldesley_white Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 which they all and including him didn't do Quote
MickyD Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Yes. I heard that. I think the latest threat is an afterthought. Quote
frank_spencer Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 which they all and including him didn't doThe vast majority of owners have said they stand by their players and their right to protest. The Steelers managed to cock up their message with Al Villanueva Quote
tyldesley_white Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Who cocked up even further when he apologized to his fellow players for what he did, so he went from hero to zero in 24 hours Quote
gonzo Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Why don't they just sack the anthems off? Quote
MickyD Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 America is much too patriotic to do that. I was in this stadium when this lot sang and to be honest, the pride shown for British National Anthem doesn't even compare. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=BHS+Convention+Anthem+2014+las+vegas&&view=detail&mid=515213E01C2834336DD8515213E01C2834336DD8&FORM=VRDGAR Quote
tyldesley_white Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 yes every game, at every level in all sports Quote
MickyD Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Come off it Gonzo. Judging by the fallout every time the England football team is on camera NOT knowing (or at least not singing) the National Anthem I'd say every football fan would love our sports people to show the same passion as that shown at all levels of US sports. I don't remember a kerfuffle in 96 when Paul Young deliberately screwed up the anthem as a protest against Q-tips' last album selling poorly . Didn't turn out too bad in the end though (the anthem, not the album). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yr__-KqnfQM Quote

The national anthem before every league game? With players from about 14 different nationalities stood there while its sung? Not for me thanks. Besides since when as a nation do we not show passion at sport?? The place comes to a standstill when England a big game at any sport. We don't need to sing the national anthem before Plymouth v Hartlepool to show folk give a shit about England. Quote
frank_spencer Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 They only started having the players come out and line up for the anthem in 2009 when the US military chucked some cash the nfl's way. Quote
tyldesley_white Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Which believe it or not most American's don't realize Quote
