Escobarp Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 still playing with a fractured back tbf should be out for 6 weeks, only missed 1 week Yeah fair point. Dangerous coming back so soon Quote
frank_spencer Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 James Harrison can still do it even at 38. AB had made some mistakes today but came through with an unbelievable catch. Quote
bolty58 Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 Boltys currently kicking fuck out of his tele Apart from the Whites winning a dire weekend. Family problems make this seem trivial. I note Frank was right about the Steelers bouncing back. Quote
L/H White Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 didn't see the giants beating the broncos Quote
Traf Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 didn't see the giants beating the broncos I did see it and now I'm knackered. Quote
L/H White Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 i've no idea who's gonna win the superbowl Quote
enzo gambaro Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 Broken collar bone for Rodger's apparentlyIf only there was a free agent Wisconsinite who can throw a football. Quote
frank_spencer Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 Shitty news about Kev Cadle passing away. His enthusiasm for the sport was probably key to me really getting in to the sport. As for the games a few results no one saw coming but none more than the Giants. Unlike the still winless niners they've looked pants all season. As for the niners still losing very close games Quote
L/H White Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 tavecchio picked a stupid fucking time to miss his first kick of the season need to bounce back quick the raiders Quote
Escobarp Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 i've no idea who's gonna win the superbowl Patriots if they stop giving up big head starts as they won't get away with it against the better teams in the play offs They've still the best qb in the game Quote
Traf Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 Patriots if they stop giving up big head starts as they won't get away with it against the better teams in the play offs They've still the best qb in the game And getting dodgy decisions in their favour. That call v Jets last night was absolute bollocks. Quote
frank_spencer Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 And getting dodgy decisions in their favour. That call v Jets last night was absolute bollocks. I'd heard about the ropey call but hadn't seen it. Only saw it this morning after watching the Giants vs Broncos. How the officials got it that wrong I'll never know. The Pats really are the NFL version of Fergie era manyoo. Fantastic players and head coach but with more than their fair share of dodgy decisions. Quote
Escobarp Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 (edited) Nobody else gets favourable calls I keep forgetting that point Officiating in the NFL is horrendous most of the time. Every contentious decision will rankle one set of fans more than the other for obvious reasons. Because it's the patriots everyone jumps on it. I didn't see call though so can't comment on how bad Edited October 16, 2017 by Escobarp Quote
Traf Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 It was a Jets TD that they ruled a fumble and turned the ball over. Quote
tyldesley_white Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 It was called a touchdown on the field, you need clear proof that it was not, and non was shown from all the replays I saw, the guys in the studio after the game couldn't explained why it was overturned everyone of them said it was a touch down Quote
Escobarp Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 Sounds like a shocker then. Even itself out I'm sure over the season but wint pacify the jets fans I guess or others in the AFC east Quote
ZiggyStardust Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 Ball was wobbling when he hit the pylon. Good call. Blame the rule (which is a terrible one), not the refs. Quote
bolty58 Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 (edited) Have to disagree Ziggy. Take it from one who played the game for three years - that was a stone cold touchdown. The bloke was completely in control of the ball when it broke the plane. No question, no ifs, buts or maybe's - that was as dodgy a decision as you will see all season and, despite what others might say, it does seem that the Patriots are the major beneficiary of the majority of such calls. Escobarp Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 (edited) I just don’t see all these calls that the patriots get but nobody else does I honestly don’t Edited October 17, 2017 by Escobarp Quote

Shit rule, but the right call under the rules. And believe me, I've seen the Dolphins on the wrong end of stupendous decisions against the pats (John Deere anyone?), but that was the right call. The rule that it is a touchback is a shocker, no one would have complained if it had been 1st & Goal at the one, but to give the ball to the defense is how the rule is created. Quote
MancWanderer Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 I agree with ziggy - it's the rules that are often at fault for some seemingly bewildering decisions Quote
L/H White Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 what a game that was last night, final drive was mental. high recommend watching the highlights https://youtu.be/StJTV8bx-jk Quote
Traf Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 As much as I hate the raiders, that result was the best for the division. Quote
