The Tories Are Going To Build Thousands Of Affordable Second Homes.

Apparently Osbourne had his trowel and level out for the cameras again this week to pretend to be a builder again. He said that the Government is going to be building about 200,000 second houses to help homeowners onto the buy-to-let ladder. Soon, there will be more who can stop you getting your deposit back because you have left some crumbs under a table, with their ` you have hurt our feelings ` facial expression. Certainly generation rent can`t afford them.

If I were dictator, I'd go down Burnden and pick out the ten most fucked-up properties, like the ones Baz and Swanny have described elsewhere, the tenants would be booted out and then it would be "Find the rentier scum who own these shitholes" - I'd have them dragged down to face two choices - give them a can of petrol and a box of matches and orders their 'investment' goes 'woof' or summary execution on the old steps to The Haulgh behind the Paddock.

Big discussion in the Labour Party thread.

This is the new and possibly official thread of the hard left, though. There's too much Jeremy-bashing on the Labour one.

Aye, the so called generation rent wont be able to afford to buy any of them, these will be bought by generation portfolio .

Given your last pop at them fell over as you hadn't bothered to read their manifesto then I hope you've done slightly more research before getting involved in a complex discussion?

I am not partisan with any of them, they`re all the same, every party.. My posts are nearly all tongue in cheek, I don`t take it seriously.

That `so` bit at the top of that post was an error, it was meant to say `sorry`, but I messed it up when I quoted and didnt rub it out before I posted btw.

Not happening.  All governments sell us total bullshit but this one takes the piss

In what way?

How do you build a specific second house? Surely you just sell it to anyone who will have it?

I was watching that Bailiffs programme last night. Anyhow, it was based in London and the landlord served eviction notices to loads of his tenants, and they reckoned it's because housing associations will pay more rent to home asylum seekers, so all these English people were made homeless inside the hour.

During a tenancy agreement you can't just kick them out.

You can only 'evict' if you are either selling the property, or they are in arrears and even then it's a cunt of a job.

Which is total bullshit. Are you saying that Housing Associations were kicking people out or a private landlord ?

Housing Associations do not pay rent they collect it.

people believing what they want to believe

next thing its on facebook

then its fact

You don't get more for an asylum seeker. Frankly, it's more trouble than it's worth anyway because as soon as they get told to by the government to fuck off back where they come from (I think it's nigh on 50% who this happens too but as we know they somehow manage to stay here) you no longer get the rent and could end up in the nick yourself if you allow them to stay in your property.

Where do folk get these stories from? Fuckwits.

Say what you like about asylum seekers, at least they've mooched a fair dsitance. What about these rentier scumbags letting out to ferals who've merely jumped on a £42 Easyjet or Ryanair, then turned their residence into a mini homage to Raikes Lane?

I'd have them fight their landlords to the death for the right to live and for the pleasure and amusement of the workers.

And yes, I have been partaking of a cheeky Merlot, to ward of the cold and for medicinal purposes. :)

A fella I used to work with made a fortune out of letting properties to the government for asylum seekers

That was late 80's / early 90's though

He said all he had to do was get it to a certain H&S spec (fire doors, extinguishers etc) and he would get £90 per bedroom per week!!!

He was buying 2 up, 2 downs then turning them into 3 bedrooms with 1 reception room then getting £270 a week guaranteed

He was buying the houses for fuck all by today's standards

Ended up with loads of them

One of the worst kinds of capitalism - buying up potential first time homes for a quick buck, meets one of the worst types of socialism  "Ooh, let's give the poor asylum seekers fire extinguishers and fire doors"...

I'd have locked the ones who signed it off (the £90 a room) and the rentier erm, renting, in with eight or so Liberian warlord 'asylum seekers' until their sexual urges finally capitulated them to predatory homosexuality.

Doss holes in Morecambe I had to clean out 10 years ago used to be full of needles, human shite and dead cats, once the doss hole got tarted up, it became home for about 40 E European's, and when they fucked off it was full off empty vodka bottles, used condoms, rotting salami and stinking duvet's. I used to love Monday morning going to a property when they had done a runner to sort out.

Do you like Salami?

Just going off what the residents were saying on the programme, the whole estate were worried. Going off what Birch has said in a earlier post I bet it does happen quite a lot
