Have you a reliable source for zgemma boxes? Me and my brother are looking at them but we are wary of Gumtree /eBay folk not having decent after support if it every falls over.

If you search on ebay for the member windowshopping1976 you can see his items for sale. I went with his box and gift for 125 quid even though it isn't the cheapest way to go but as I knew fook all about them beforehand I went with an easier option.

Ive never bought a skybox so cant help

It ain't gonna work if you aren't technical. I fire mine up about once a month and have to reinstall every fucking time.

Aye. I had xbmc on a jailbroken apple TV. Was a right mither everytime I used it.

I'm technically minded but life is too short so now I just shell out for the full sky package rather than having to fuck about every time I want to watch a bit of telly

The most important bit of this thread! You really need to have half an idea whats going on or it just gets confusing. If I had no idea what really works or what it's about I wouldn't be getting rid of my sky. (if I had it)

i couldnt be arsed with the fcuking about for a non HD picture

i could be temopted by a dodgy sky box if it was hd and it was guaranteed to stay on 12 monts

id happily buy it again then

im currently paying about 120 a month but its always on

I just don't think they're worth it for sport - granted I always manage to find a decent picture eventually but I tend to only ever use it for Film/TV.

Some of the American sports channels are fairly good though - college soccer(football) etc just for a nosey.

The only real replacement for sky are the sky f5 boxes and suchlike. You wont get HD anymore on them, but will be fine for SD

Android boxes are ok for certain stuff. Premier pass gets you every prem game in full hd without any buffering if your connection is ok.

For normal sky sports, a good feed isnt always available.

I can get Premier pass on my Kodi enabled Amazon firestick, but it does buffer quite often.

I find if i have a root around, i can usually find a decent stream on Turk TV,Phoenix or Robocop.

Firesticks are wireless, so always gonna be slower.

I only get around 10mb from my internet, but get premier pass without buffering

i have full sky sub

i have a skybox with a full sub

i have xmbc/kodi on a firestick

i have amazon prime

i have netflix

sky and netflix are the only useful ones.

i run the others just out of curiosity.

i can understand the dodgy ones being shit - but people shouldn't sell them as replacement - they are not. so not only are they selling illegal goods, they are also mis-selling illegal goods - cunts to a man,

but the most disappointing is amazon prime, - what a crock of shit. fuck all on it and anything you want to watch, you have pay again for,

folk slate sky tv for being expensive but its worth every penny imo.

android box setup with kodi/the right addons is far more superior than netflix IMO

i suppose it all depends on what you want from it and what you watch

Android boxes are great for on demand movies, box sets etc. pretty much watch anything

yes the scope is far greater... but it requires fucking about and the kids/wife mashing my head

I've only just got Amazon Prime on the free trial, I think it's OK  -  I agree that it's not as good or extensive as Netfilx though. I don't doubt that the Amazon offering will improve over the next few weeks/months/years though. I did find it odd though that you still have to pay for some things separately as well

I tend to use Amazon a lot, so the free next day delivery is a decent benefit, as is the ability to be able to "loan" a free book once a month

What are your thoughts on Amazon Music?  -  I'm just getting to grips with it and it seems OK, so I think I'll be ditching Spotify for a while to see how I get on

As things stand, I've got a Virgin package, Amazon Prime and also an Amazon Fire TV with Wookie side loaded onto it

Ditch Virgin and get a zgemma

i downloaded music, but not really tried it.

i did the same with google play. but struggle to move away from spotify
