Soccer Casual Early 80S Other Fans.

Shocked to see Wigan fans all togged out at Halifax in 82 on a random day out looking the part in the pubs.

All the gear, no idea.

Norwich fans wearing the same gear at Port Vale a few years later in another daft game I went. Pringle jumpers caught on in E Anglia in 89   :)

And never left?

Remember bumping into a mob of Chelsea at London euston 2001ish. Best dressed lads I've ever seen. Head to toe in prada,Armani and CP.

Compare that to a picture I saw yesterday of man city's blazing squad. Fuck me. They look like the tweenies.

Chelsea away. Same year a group of our fans took Downing Street? Fat franks acquaintances. Video of it somewhere

Tip top camera phone that

I walked into a pub in Manchester early in the day of England V Wales 2004, full of old Chelsea lots of Prada on show.  Luckily they didn't move onto the next pub further down the road where the Bolton lads were

Aye them shell suits cost a pretty penny these days

Best dressed for me would include a bespoke suit not a coat with googles in the hood, regardless of how much it costs.

I think Yeti, with his 'Heaven 17' inspired look was the best dressed lout... I used to have some Prada clobber, It mainly languished in the cupboard before I sold it on, as it attracted the wrong type of attention from louts (and possible bum drillers). Got a pretty penny for it though.

thanks

Well, those that get it, will know that scousers created the "casual" thing in England

robbing on their European tours :)

Indeed, had that not happened, we would all still be in Doc martins and short tight jeans....or 'Double Denim' !!!

Fucking biggles coats, bad enough on yoof but grown fellas dressed as steampunk hooligans is a bit sad.

Queers

You say Double Denim like it's a bad thing. Shakin' Stevens and 20m records sold say otherwise pal.

EFA

I loved the Essex Fila and shorts combo in the early 80s. Not sure how good it'd look on northern terraces these days though.

That is the cringiest video ever ever ever.
