Sky Q

Featured Replies

anybody got it?

explain what it is and why i should bother

other than 4k stuff

You can record 4 programmes simultaneously whilst watching another apparently.... pretty useful when you would struggle to find 4 programmes a month worth recording!

Yeah, think I got that bit

It's more than that though......possibly :)

Think it streams to wireless devices but none of the info is clear to me

Think the little boxes that run off it are wireless, so you don't have to half destroy your house running wires to the kids bedrrom.

Think you can also share the planner, so if you've got something recorded in on the Sky box in the lounge you can go watch it via these little boxes all over the house.

I'm thinking of getting it so get your skates on lad and let me know if it's any good.

Haha

I've currently got 3 multi rooms and a bt

Cancel a multi room and bt and switch to sky BB might be the plan

Get it sorted, toe amputee

No chance. More likely to follow Kent's lead. Only really cricket and occasionally other sports that keeps me on it.

Spent two on holiday in the road clogger without a TV signal, so made do with the Wireless and it wasn't a problem

I like the idea of it but I can imagine it costs a fucking fortune. The missus hates the zgemma we now have but we are 80 quid a month better off which means she has to shut her din for now at least.

Priced it up recently and it's only about £12 a month more than more than my current multiroom deal, but apart from sharing recordings between boxes and being able to download them to devices I'm not sure what else it does.

And I'm sure I read it was an 18 month contract?

Doesn't it replace 4 (or whatever) boxes and the cabling.

must be easier to DIY on the second , third tellies, than getting a dude round with a ladder and drilling/cutting things.

just plug various wires and boxes into TVs, like setting up a dvd player.

Like how buying a mobile phone is easier than sorting a landline out

Until I have 4k tellies in every room, and I can get fibre broadband, iamout

Exactly how I am With my missus. Belting picture, zgemma that is, not the wife.

Why?

Why?

Because she is a fussy cow. The fact that BBC1 is on 115 is for some reason a major issue, why? Fuck knows. It is so similar to Sky it's unreal yet she doesn't like it. She's mental.
