Leyther_Matt Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Any pubs near the station open before 12? Remember the pub just past The Howard making a killing from the early train before the Sheff Weds game the other year when Trotter scored his annual screamer. Quote

Super Bock Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 Spent 3 years living in Sheffield, it's ace if you like a beer. Â Sheffield Tap at the station and Rutland Arms are both great boozers and on the way to the ground. The Howard is the listed away pub but it's nothing to write home about, just very convenient and easy to Police. Â A little further afield is the Devonshire Cat which is around 10-15 walk to the ground, that's worth tracking down. In Sheffield today with work so I will be testing the Jaipur in the Tap on the way home! Quote
VisitingBlade Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 Me +4 in their end . Coyfwm Do you not worry about about any trouble kicking off? Whether you instigate it or not. What happens if you end up being sat to a family with kids - trouble kicks off and they get caught up in it. Not right is it.  I understand the frustration at being unable to get tickets etc, but think people should use their heads sometimes. Quote

I have no advice on who you should cheer for... Quote

MickyD Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 I've also done it at away grounds and have had away fans say near me at home games. It all depends on attitudes of both sides. If you go in and start gobbing off then you reap what you sew.Had a family of Man U fans in WSL a few seasons ago. These rules didn't apply to them. Quote

I know people who have got tickets for the Sheffield end its not right but the arrangement for this game have been poor imo. Anyway hope it's a great game and it passes off without incident, hopefully both united and Bolton will be playing each other in the championship next season Quote

Presume you mean Sheffield United?  There have been errors all round - us requesting tickets back so close to the match, BWFC agreeing to it, fans making travel arrangements without having a match ticket. Not ideal.  Been looking forward to this match for a few weeks now, it will shape our run in - win and we have a bit of freedom, draw, as you were, lose and we are firmly back under pressure. Just hope I can come back on here after the match and only have the football to talk about. Quote

I don't see the big deal. We aren't rivals of any sort so I think it will be fine. Â Rivals yes that's a different story. I think a bloke sitting there not cheering or doing anything is fine to be honest Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 No issue with anyone sitting in the wrong end as long as they don't balloon around like a cunt (Everton the other year in the cup for example). Quote

Zico Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 No issue with anyone sitting in the wrong end as long as they don't balloon around like a cunt (Everton the other year in the cup for example).  aye  if a fan can get a ticket in the home end for whatever reason then go for it  the rules should be if you don't let on, and just watch the game, you get through unscathed - been in the home ends at utd, city and forest - the first 2 weren't pleasant but had to be done  strangest one, at uni, got tickets in sheff weds home end for a game v utd, was clear there was plenty utd in the home end, so had to let it be known we weren't utd, but weren't Sheffield either in case anyone questioned us ID style about Carrera  one time at the reebok v man u had a lad sat next to me in the ESL who was def Utd, but he didn't let on bar a flinch when they won it in the last minute (Berbatov one), not that i'd do owt anyway, but no point in kicking off or bringing attention to him  bought some tickets for some city mates in the south stand once, they cheered when city scored and got carted out, fair dos  as you say, everton in the cup deserved what they got, some where going out their way to let folk know they were in the wrong end Quote
