So, what's the best medium for running your service?

Fire stick?

without any thought on device price i would say

nvidia shield pro

firestick max 4k

those would be the only 2 devices i would use.

there are a lot of other devices out there, lesser spec firesticks, formuler devices, enigma2 devices, generic android boxes.

from my own experience the first 2 mentioned are the best.

the shield pro has its own 4k upscaling built in.

if you have a powered usb port on your tv it "may" be powerful enough to power the device.

try it, if you see any issues then revert back to the original power supply.

some tvs have enough power to run the device but if they are borderline on power you may see issues occuring on the stick.

I've found USB 3.0 work well.

Lincoln's

Sounds like it's the same as we get for £40 per year.

I have explained about pricing a few posts above, if you are happy with what you pay £40 then more power to you 👍

I am more than happy with Lambs server and service. Great customer service, good discord server with 1000s of people on. Superb quality of streams.

Well done to others who have a server they like.

Wasn't knocking you in any way pal.  I know people who use you and they're delighted with what you offer. 👍

I don’t see what the issue is. Surely there’s room for more than one supplier here.

Mine has to be connected to the TV via the USB cable (as well as being plugged into the HDMI port, obvs)

there is no issue, nor is there any guarantee that paying more for a service makes it any better than a cheaper one.

i haven't tried every server out there and i have no inclination to.

each to their own 👍

Same with the one I use (sorry, it's not Lambs) for £50 a year it's fantastic.

@lamblamb I’m looking at signing up to something along the lines of this. Given the feedback the lads have shared on here how would I go about sourcing your services for myself and my aging father.

Two firesticks 4k max enough to start with?

I think they are hoping to sell the tech to Sky, Netflix etc. so it's embedded in there feed, this in theory would alow them to trace back to the source. A hut in Africa with cables running everywhere.

Sorry, is the suggestion they can get it in live stuff

Cant see it, thats all

I'd give a bit more credence to that article if the grammar wasn't of an eight year old's standard.
