Then you'll have heard him say "If anyone says that politics can't make a difference, that all parties are the same, then look at what we have achieved together since 1997..."

On right because Gordon (seen by many as the worst ever PM) said it then it’s true. Gotcha 👍

1) Boris - Truss what’s happened?

2) I’m a visionary as you know

1) You seem to be assuming that everyone thought things would dramatically improve. I doubt very much anyone did. But if your house is on fire, it needs putting out, you do that first then assess the damage. What you won’t expect is your house to look better than it did before the fire. Unless you live in backwards world.

2) that’s going well. 😉

Aghhh so you will agree then that Liz Truss needs more time?

The economy seemed to be in a bit of a mess when Brown and Labour left office.

That was because of a shitty opposition who just stood by and let it happen.

And the lefties. They'll have been involved too. And the gays. Blacks.

Brown was ten times the chancellor of any we have had since, not a good choice for PM though. However there was a small matter of a global financial crash in 2008 which was handled considerably better than austerity, brexit and covid have been by the present shower.

Which of those achievements he listed was he lying about?

So can we mention the current global financial crisis that has a very large affect on where we are now with our own economy?

Can you point me to where I said there were any lies?

You insinuated it when you said "Oh right because Gordon said it then it’s true. Gotcha 👍"

Never mind.

Gordon, who’s known for lying (Google is your friend). I wonder why they were out of power 12 months later after such a great term and speech 🤷🏻‍♂️

You are trying to reason with a numpty.

Personally I don't think RW is a numpty, he's a bit of a WUM, doesn't like the left much and enjoys anything (himself included) that winds them (whoever the 'other' that day are - protesters, actors, people in unapproved jackets) up and everything is through that prism.

He's not going to change his mind, so you are right about it being a pointless discussion to have with him however.

So which achievement in that speech (most of which happened before he was PM) was a lie?

Since when was Gordon Brown our 'worst ever PM'? Funny old world some folk live in.

“Seen by many” wasn’t it one of his own party who also said it?

Immigration has gone up which is creating friction within communities. The country is getting bigger and messier. “The role of ministers has gone bureaucratic and the action of ministers has gone downhill – it is corrupt. “The loss of social values is the basic problem and this is not what the Labour Party is about. “I believe Gordon Brown has been the worst Prime Minister we have had in this country. “It is a disgrace and he owes an apology to the people and the Queen.”

Eee, that's a big font. Must be an important bit of copy and paste.
