Don’t forget, when Reeves did her budget plenty of her detractors were hoping for/predicting a market crash and the economy to send us back to trading in chickens and coal. That doesn’t seem to have happened and even Boby gave up with his misery in the end (though I suspect he’ll be back when Starmer is potted). I know it’s not the result most reformers or pickled Australians wanted, but just roll with it for now. As with all politics the cycle will eventually bring you what you want - failure, hard times, anger then a change of government. I’d actually be quite intrigued to see how reform get on if the current government just stepped down and said “ok lads, off you pop” I notice Farage is already backpedaling on his “deport all the brown folk” pledge and we’re 4 years out from seeing him at the lectern on Downing Street.
