He needs to reverse the decision.

If he does, happy days. If not, it’s his first real fuck up.

It’s more his speech in commons a couple of years ago where he criticised Egypt for jailing someone for a tweet. Meanwhile over here we are jailing folk for tweets.

Yep as mentioned above.

Reform And Rupert Lowes lot are lapping this up at the minute.

You've only mentioned Ian Duncan Smith

You said you've mentioned others who have condemned it and only used IDS as proof

I said I haven't seen any others simply because I haven't seen them in the news and asked you to say who they were

So far we haven't moved on from IDS in your list of Tory members (plural) who make your list

So who are they?

Getting beyond a joke now. What Starmer does in response will be rather interesting

Starmer shouldn't have to do anything

People affiliated with a terrorist organisation have been arrested and face trial

As it should be

If they choose not to eat that's on them

So we're up to Aliclia Kearns (had to google who she is) and IDS is the best you can come up with

And it took you most of the afternoon to trawl X to try and find them despite you making the claim much earlier

No mark folk

Better if Sunak, Truss, Jenrick apologises wouldn't you say?

All afternoon 😂😂 it was in the Guardian (I suppose you don’t do that either) this morning. As for no marks you’re probably best off reading up. Also both of these signed for his release, I’m not sure if the others did.

Whataboutery is off the scale today fella

There is no whataboutery

I haven't moved away from the argument

I just asked about what Tories were saying about the same bloke that they wanted release when they were in power

You mentioned two and let's face it IDS is a nobody these days and ive no clue who the other is

You clearly do though

I've been working today so let's keep it simple for you

Which Tory MPs which are now apologising for his release

We've got IDS and a no mark

I've still got work to do but im happy to bow down to the font of all knowledge on this

And your mate on X doesn't count as a source

No whataboutery, just tell me

Tory MPs are pushing for him to be have his citizenships revoked and returned to Egypt.

The PM and his right hand man are both celebrating that he’s been released and he’s in the UK. If you can’t see where the problem is then there’s no helping you.

Oh look! Another u turn 😂😂 sounds like the police and white folk are fair game though.

All good.

Well done Mr Starmer.

Judge folk on their end results etc..

The same Tory MPs who pushed his citizenship through and were campaigning for his release and would have welcomed it had it happened on their watch

If you can't see the complete hypocrisy then there is no helping you

Hang on. I thought you were alright with people calling for other people to be killed on social media.

There was certainly an outcry when that woman got jailed for advocating burning migrant hotels down.

Can't remember your take on it at the time though to be fair. Maybe I've got that wrong?

Yes. You have.

In similar vein to the angle you've tried to use there, good old BBC News.

The left wing biased hypocrites this morning poured cold water on what this imminent export said. It was 10 years ago when he was a 'young man' apparently and this should excuse it to some degree.

Yet they have not only actively and miraculously unearthed politically opposed 'former schoolmates' of Nigel Farage and pushed unsubstantiated claims of overt racism from them but the 50 years which have elapsed are apparently of no import. 50.

The entire BBC News department wants purging a.s.a.p.

Have they? Sunak, Truss, Cleverley, Patel?

All I’ve seen is that uber prick Philps, giving it the big un.

I thought Jess's surname was spelled 'Phillips'?

Probably…might have….could have…..chance of…..If…..😂 I don’t need the help cocker, I’m just commenting on what has happened.

And I think you’re missing the point of my original post, but that’s expected.

So you’re saying there’s a time limit. Fair enough.

50 years is long enough to dismiss what someone said.

wheres the line? 50 weeks? 50 months? There must be one because you’re saying so here.

Apart from the fact that the story wasn't unearthed by BBC News and has been substantiated by several classmates over the years he attended Dulwich College, which is hardly a hotbed of lefty indoctrination.

Still, facts aren't needed for a good old BBC rant, Nigel would be proud. 😁

Psst. Farage is an anti-Semitic, pro-Russian racist and grifter. Pass it on.

Well I suppose one of the reasons might be that our potential (and in some cases widely predicted) next prime minister is going to come up for a while lot more detailed and sustained scrutiny than someone who is in the news momentarily.

I've no idea why you think my original comment was anything like what you are describing from the BBC? I've not talked about excusing anyone.

I'm just asking you whether you think it's right or wrong that people can be jailed for tweets/social media posts that are actively calling for violence against other people.

I think it is. What do you think?
