Yes. You have.

In similar vein to the angle you've tried to use there, good old BBC News.

The left wing biased hypocrites this morning poured cold water on what this imminent export said. It was 10 years ago when he was a 'young man' apparently and this should excuse it to some degree.

Yet they have not only actively and miraculously unearthed politically opposed 'former schoolmates' of Nigel Farage and pushed unsubstantiated claims of overt racism from them but the 50 years which have elapsed are apparently of no import. 50.

The entire BBC News department wants purging a.s.a.p.

Well I suppose one of the reasons might be that our potential (and in some cases widely predicted) next prime minister is going to come up for a while lot more detailed and sustained scrutiny than someone who is in the news momentarily.

I've no idea why you think my original comment was anything like what you are describing from the BBC? I've not talked about excusing anyone.

I'm just asking you whether you think it's right or wrong that people can be jailed for tweets/social media posts that are actively calling for violence against other people.

I think it is. What do you think?

My apologies,  I didn't make myself clear

I meant in relation to the attack on Labour HQ

As the "leader" of the Labour Party and our temporary PM, he should have called this out instantly and tag a label to those paid activists who carried out the attack.

I'm sure he would if the far right did a similar attack elsewhere 🤔

Apart from the fact that the story wasn't unearthed by BBC News and has been substantiated by several classmates over the years he attended Dulwich College, which is hardly a hotbed of lefty indoctrination.

Still, facts aren't needed for a good old BBC rant, Nigel would be proud. 😁

I hope he is. I also hope he's sharpening his knives for BBC News when he gets in.

Dose of salts needed. Drain the swamp.

Terms of reference too broad.

Eliminating ISIS? Yep, OK to call for that. Blowing Fentanyl shippers out of the water? Yep, OK. Capital punishment for the worst murderers and terrorists? Yep, definitely OK.

Calling for the murder of policemen doing their daily duty and providing what we all need to go about our daily lives? No, not OK. Revocation of citizenship and grounds for deportation activity. The sooner the better.

Calling for the murder of more Jews? Export the cunt.

So you were completely wrong. Again.

It's OK to hold your hand up now and again you know, we all make mistakes.

Let's leave it there shall we Mr. Narcissistic.

Aye, I have no intention in getting into a duel with the likes of you.

Life's too fucking short and there's some good football on TV at present.

Let’s be honest, he would follow the Trump approach and sue/publicly criticise any media that says anything negative about him (not just the BBC) under the guise of “fake news” (but 100% not restricting freedom of speech 🙄).

What’s your views on consistency? I’m happy to condemn both the Egyptian guy for his anti-Semitic comments and Farage for his.

I’m sure you’ll feel the same. Not great is it when a public figure has previously said “Hitler was right” and “gas them all”.

You know what In getting at though. What about encouraging people to burn down a migrant hotel?

Can you show me the tweets where Farage said “Hitler was right” and “gas them all”  also why are only happy to condem the Egyptian for anti-Semitic tweets? What about the others he attacked? You know for consistency.

Of course I will happily condemn everything that Egyptian guy said against Jews, police and white people in general. What sane person on earth wouldn’t?

Of course there are no tweets from Farage, as you well know, but there are multiple people who have gone on record and stated that Farage said these (and other) offensive statements. Are you saying they are all lying? Do you really believe Farage’s half-arsed attempts to explain? Why wouldn’t you condemn those comments equally?

Your predictability is well, predictable. Looking for any way to deflect and avoid criticising Farage and his ilk. You can say you know “I don’t care what he said/did, I still support him”. Better that than constantly throwing up semantic smokescreens.

Sorry but a few people saying he lied 40/50 years ago doesn’t quite cut it for  me. What makes you think they’re telling the truth

probably his reaction

he's not accused anyone of lying or the claims being false, but dismissing them as playground banter

I’m going off this.

n response to Mr Ettedgui's claims to the BBC, Farage told GB News: "I categorically deny saying those things, to that one individual, and frankly, frankly for the Guardian and the BBC to be going back just shy of half a century to come out with this stuff it shows how desperate they are."

In a previous interview on Monday, Farage said he had probably "misspoken in my life, in my younger days, when I was a child".

But he insisted he had not "directly racially abused" anyone "by taking it out on an individual on the basis of who they are or what they are".

Asked if those making the allegations about him were telling the truth, he said: "Well, suddenly after 49 years they seem to have perfect recollection. I would say to you there is a strong political element to this."

Pushed again on whether they were telling the truth, Farage said: "No, they are not telling the truth."

The initial response from Reform was a flat denial of the claims of alleged racism in Farage’s schooldays. The first letter from Farage’s barrister stated that the allegation that the Reform leader had “ever engaged in, condoned, or led racist or antisemitic behaviour is categorically denied”.

Farage’s comments have since shifted. When confronted directly in an interview about whether he had made the racist comments, he said: “I would never ever do it in a hurtful or insulting way … No, not with intent.”

He has also said that “banter in a playground” may be interpreted differently today.

So no one is sure by the looks of it yet people are comparing it with it with a guy who’s asking for Jews, whites and police to be killed. Weird hey.

Well it seems like his old teachers and school mates know and have called it out, and he's knows as he's admitted it but played it down

I'll not be comparing it to the other bloke though

I didn’t say you were, many are though hence the conversations we are having now.

And fair play to these teachers and pupils for their amazing memory, it really should be applauded, and even more amazing is that Farage was made a prefect at the school after these (alleged) incidents took place.

along with the memories there was also a letter

https://www.channel4.com/news/nigel-farage-ukip-letter-school-concerns-racism-fascism

as been said, he said and did those things, that's not been denied, ut it's a subjective matter as to how offended folk are by them, and those who made him prefect were not offended

We have a long letter (below) written in June 1981 by a young English teacher, Chloe Deakin, begging the master of the college (head teacher), David Emms, to reconsider his decision to appoint Farage as a prefect. Deakin did not know Farage personally but her letter includes an account of what was said by staff at their annual meeting, held a few days earlier, to discuss new prefects.

The letter says that when one teacher said Farage was “a fascist, but that was no reason why he would not make a good prefect,”
