I can hardly wait for the "I told you so" post 😁

Some people are very easily entertained. Or were you referring to my post from a  couple of years back predicting the coming of a Reform government? If it's the latter, I will curtail your wait.

I told you so.

Onwards and upwards. Great news.

An Iraqi heritage bloke too. More grist to the mill of shutting up the 'racist' screeching 'thickos'.

Utter drivel.

Ignoring the insult.

Why is it utter drivel? You can't imagine a scenario where that plays out?

I didn't say it was the most likely scenario - I said it was a possible scenario.

There's a long time to go obviously but this is what I'm basing that possible scenario at @bolty58

Well not quite. I thought Project 2025 was fear mongering. And he's already gone far beyond that.

Who do you think is really pulling the strings?

Geppetto.

I don't care if it's 1p vs UKP1B. Principle.

Yes you did. I'll downgrade it to mild drivel 😉

Ignoring the additional data but I'll concede your point that there is a very long time to go (more red carnage imminent).

I would strongly advise that no one bets this far out. Wait til Reform are 2/9 a week before. Buying money.

No I didn't. I can share the post again if you'd like to point out where I said it was the most likely scenario.

But back to my original question.

Why is it mild drivel?

If I were planning for all eventualities - I'd definitely be including this one.

I actually think the most likely outcome right now is a JD Vance winning the next US election and Reform winning the next UK election by a landslide.

So ideologically - I think we'll be more closely aligned to the US than the EU.

But we will very much be in a subservient position to them. And it will damage our relationship with our closest neighbours. On the positive side - we might get some preferential treatment on US trade etc.

What's your take?

Sorry - just seen this. Yeah I think Labour are in big trouble come May. And it's just the kind of thing that can force an early election.

The absolute worst case scenario for me is a lib/lab coalition where Reform feel cheated as they won the most votes. And we're just floating around aimlessly in the middle of the Atlantic with no strong partners.

Stamp duty? That Nigel avoided by pretending his skint bird bought a house in cash?

Aye, hypocrisy indeed.

When you are celebrating the £5m tax avoider who was claiming on expenses the cost of heating his stables I am not sure which principle you are upholding ?

Do Australian keyboards not have a "£" key?

You’re lucky they’ve got letters.

Bolty’s keyboard probably looks like this

Getting that age old feeling like when you make that mistake of opening the front door to Mormons or Jehovahs Rovers. WTF have I done? 😉

I'll take your Nostradamic prediction though. 🫰

Let's see which one ends up being more adversely affected. I think I know the answer.

Because I have an intense dislike for one of them and am ambivalent about the other.

You knew this.

Just put it down to the inevitable (years of dirty) tricks campaign which we have already seen in various guises including alleged comments in a school playground a half century ago.

Come on. He said it. You know he did. We all know he did.

Whether it should matter or not is a different matter.

You described it as ‘great news’

Think we can add ‘ambivalent’  to the words you use but do not understand.

Great news for Reform who need folk with governmental experience.

Personally, not sure about the bloke with his recent dodgy past still fresh in the memory but will park that to take 'the win'.

Add whatever you want to your list pal.
