That's the current problem... we have masses of legislation. employment laws and tenant rights etc., the Houses of Parliament and Lords seem to pass them for fun... but no ordinary citizen can get justice when it cots £250 per hour (plus VAT) for basic advice. Employers, Landlords and the rest know this so just ignore the Law.

Nice to see though a good Brexit benefit after everyone forecast our market would collapse🐠 🎣

I’m just seeing a government that foreign investors clearly trust.

I know it won’t go down well with a load of angry blokes in Wetherspoons nursing monstrous bellies and crippling blood pressure, but the lads with the dosh seem to have no issue with our horrid, communist broken country.

Thank you for acknowledgement of your good self in not reading the article yourself posted.

I appreciate that

Typical that the grifters are putting blame on ECHR. Plenty of evidence of UK judiciary and civil servants able to ignore common sense in name of accused rights.

Dartmoor Prison has been closed by Health England due to high levels of radon. Can they not find 600 full term lifers to take the slots? The prison officers and local support staff live in houses with same levels.

Been around there (the village not the prison) a few times. Proper eerie when the Dartmoor mist/clag is low

No worries

Great to see the UK performing isn’t it? We keep being told it’s a third world shithole and we’re going to get killed to death every time we step outside.

Yes, plus no Brexit benefits, which you bleat about non stop. Anyway, cheers 🥂

Starmer accepted the commission and got his hourly rate probably irrespective of any personal beliefs... I will revert to my original point that very few ordinary people can afford the Court System anymore. As a result it has now been overly politicised.

If you need to bring a civil action such as an Employment or Rental Tribunal to exercise your rights you can't afford it anymore.

I still find it sad that we rely on Next and Currys as indicators of our economy and Greggs are holding us back by not selling enough greasy sausage rolls.

We used to build stuff for fucks sake

Have another read of the article, as I told the Dutch Detective. Ignore Next and Currys, 2 glaring indicators right in there for anyone to see.

You're asking too much.

When you support a dead man walking, you'll clutch at any straw. He's fucked for certain and the merry month of May might be the extent of his tenure.

Been watching the darts. Fantastic stuff.

Im a patriot just wanting the best for my country.

I make no apology for that. I won’t desert for a bit of sunshine.

Going on Twitter and moaning about everything from graffiti to fireworks is something I’ll leave to the traitors.

As mentioned, PM’s are always temporary, I’m sure we’ll have another by next Christmas, let’s hope they are dull and dedicated.

Classic. You didn't fully comprehend the article then ?

I'd better not start with the uprising in Iran then ?

Enjoy spending your taxes on utter wankers, and I don't mean the decent Iranians who want freedom x

...idity. How else could one describe fawning allegiance to a failure like Starmer?

FTSE is the measure of success now?

In that case, crack on Putin- well have to spend even more on military equipment and share prices will rise even more.

Morning

I wasn’t drinking, sorry.

Im pretty sure the FTSE has always been paraded on here as a barometer of some sort. Don’t forget, when Reeves did her budget plenty of her detractors were hoping for/predicting a market crash and the economy to send us back to trading in chickens and coal. That doesn’t seem to have happened and even Boby gave up with his misery in the end (though I suspect he’ll be back when Starmer is potted).

I know it’s not the result most reformers or pickled Australians wanted, but just roll with it for now. As with all politics the cycle will eventually bring you what you want - failure, hard times, anger then a change of government.

I’d actually be quite intrigued to see how reform get on if the current government just stepped down and said “ok lads, off you pop”

I notice Farage is already backpedaling on his “deport all the brown folk” pledge and we’re 4 years out from seeing him at the lectern on Downing Street.

Quelle surprise.
