You’re comedy gold tricky, the lies and scaremongering are on another level. How can anyone ignore your drivel

It's years old this. I think there was some more context to it as well. It was part of a religious celebration - can't remember which one it was. It's not like they do it every day on the way into school.

They look pretty westernised to me. One had a Micky Mouse jumper on and the female teacher wasn't even wearing a headscarf. They're probably the type of people we should be trying to build bridges with.

It's a shame that a phrase as omnipresent and benign in that culture has now got such a negative connotation associated with it. And your general, everyday racist probably won't have the brains to make the distinction - as is proved by the comments to the video.

We were at Bolton Council of Mosques for our works Christmas meeting in Daubhill a few weeks back. They were the only venue in Bolton that were prepared to let us use their venue free of charge. In fact they welcomed us with open arms and were very hospitable. There's a lot of good people around there if you're prepared to give them a chance.

In fact, what Kent said

And?

Not you, but who first thought that needed filming and sharing

What next, filming kids in church singing hymns

Must admit, my first thoughts were about watching and, (as a Boy Scout) taking part in Whit Walks around Harwood, I wondered if that event could possibly have offended anyone. It probably would in Nor'n Iron but probably not in Great Britain back in the early 70s but almost certainly would now as it seems someone wants to get upset about something at the drop of a hat.

I have no idea when this was filmed and I am aware that Allahu Akbar simply means God is Great. I'm sure the fact that it is oft reported to be the last words of many suicide bombers has given the phrase a bit of bad press.

My local church still does whit walks. Seeing the Sunday school kids miserable as shit traipsing round the estate brings back memories

Do they, rc, c of e, Methodists still do Sunday school

Grim times for me

Yeah. Still there.

My mum still goes to my old church and the Mother in law is Catholic.

No interest here though.

Whit walks were/are decent when they're accompanied by brass bands in competition. Lots of ale, good music and fun.

Tedious plods with a couple of dozen half arsed folks round the estate were/are shite.

Orange walks are fine like! :)

Totally agree with you Kent mate, there are plenty of good people around there and they’re very charitable too.

The Indian Muslims I’ve done business with over the years have been excellent and many friendships have been made as a result.

Indian Muslims make up the vast majority of Muslims in Bolton as per the census figures in 2011,though the Pakistani Muslim population in Bolton doubled in the census from 2001 to 2011.

B&B?

Chances are, after a good afternoon and evening, you'll not worry to much about the sumptuousness of the accommodation.
