July 23, 20188 yr Bayern munich President has just come out and absolutely slaughtered him "He last won a tackle before the 2014 World Cup."
July 23, 20188 yr https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44915730 Quit international football due to perceived racism. Mard arse or does he have a point? This picture he did with the Turkish president seemed to cause quite the stir. Maybe they are going through the it isn't fun to play for the national team anymore years that We have had for so long. Racially abusing a bloke playing for your national team does seems incredibly daft though.
July 23, 20188 yr some of the things were uncalled for. But, hes become and easy target because he hasnt done anything of any note for them for quite a while. Not due to his heritage. Such an easy card to play these days

Aye, It's all about context, as ever; but if he's complaining he doesn't get treated like a citizen then poses for images like that you can see why some thick skulls would use it against him. I agree with barry though - too easy to play the race card these days and most folk are a bit sick of it. I honestly don't know but has he publicly praised Germany and its people at any time? That might help his cause a bit Edited July 23, 20188 yr by madthatter
July 23, 20188 yr Racially abusing a bloke playing for your national team does seems incredibly daft though. I take it you starting watching football after Italia 90/Euro 96 then.
July 23, 20188 yr https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44915730 Quit international football due to perceived racism. Mard arse or does he have a point? Both.
July 23, 20188 yr I take it you starting watching football after Italia 90/Euro 96 then.Late 80's a bit before italia 90 so yeah pretty much. Times have changed a bit though so not sure what your point is?
July 23, 20188 yr I take it you starting watching football after Italia 90/Euro 96 then. Why would that mean you wouldn't think it was bonkers still? Most people watching football in the 80's were not massive racist bellends....
July 23, 20188 yr Why would that mean you wouldn't think it was bonkers still? Most people watching football in the 80's were not massive racist bellends.... you obviously never stood in the MRN
July 23, 20188 yr If you want to abuse him then surely the safest bet is to just have a go at his massive eyes?
July 23, 20188 yr Late 80's a bit before italia 90 so yeah pretty much. Times have changed a bit though so not sure what your point is? That it's nothing new. The black lads playing for England always copped abuse, mainly from the Chelsea contingent. Some of that lot were on a flight from Rio with the players and press after we had beaten Brazil 2-0 and John Barnes had scored a cracker. They did the "goals from blacks don't count" filth and were saying it was a 1-0 win.
July 23, 20188 yr I do miss the "pit of hate" ???? Remember watching it bubbling and spilling over on black Sunday like a pan of water on a stove. Every so often a bloke would break loose and try and make it across the front of normid.
July 23, 20188 yr The journalist on talk sport this morning suggested he may have a point about the racism. Let’s not forget Germans have some poor relations with the Turkish settlers who basically rebuilt the German country
July 23, 20188 yr Don't think he would have played for the third reich tbh and he does look a bit like a frog!
