Went for a coffee this morning in Wigan station and Big Sam and little Sam were sat next to me, asked big Sam about the Bolton job, he chuckled and said no thanks.  Didn’t bother to ask Little Sam.

No surprise there. 

No way he can match the success he had before

I love the fact that deluded Bolton fans think he'd come back as manager. He doesn't need the money - though he likes money, and anyway we're hardly going to be a last big pay day. He cannot do anything to enhance his reputation - for that he'd need a big club in the top flight to take him on and that ship has sailed.

So what's in it for him? He "loves the club" they say. Aye perhaps, but didn't stop him walking out on it, and criticising it for years to come. I'm not having a pop at Sam. He did the right thing for him. But the idea that he's just waiting to come back because he "loves us" is absolutely ridiculous. 

He's never coming back in anything other than a highly paid figurehead role for some consortium where he gets paid a lot to do very little. Beyond that he's never managing us again. Ever.

David Lee sits a couple of rows in front of us each match, as he was walking off at half time my mate asked him if he wanted the job next, he said "yeah, I would actually"

Perhaps they were planning a takeover. Were they wearing dark glasses and caps?

They weren’t going to London as I caught that train, not the Liverpool train as that departed just before the London train. 

Second thoughts I think they were off to London I’m thinking the Fulham job currently 7/1.

I think that PG knew that BSA would leave (his concern was he would join the Massives instead of a big club), and had LSL lined up ready to replace him when the situation arose. He persuaded himself that it would work out far better than it did.
