I'd keep him on, then pot him after the first defeat/biz performance :D

I don't mind PP, We don't know the full extent as to what goes on behind the scenes, I think he has handled the whole situation admirably,

However his team selections and setup for me has been questionable since the autumn international break, we were on a good run then something changed in that break. Players like Magennis who lets be honest start of the season was proving to be a real handful for opposing defenders. Think he chipped in with a few goals and a few assists too, but then after the break loses his place to Donaldson (can't remember him scoring a goal for us) Oztumer, what was the point in bringing him in, we were apparently going to build around him. I remember going to a game in L1 against Bury, we drew 0 - 0 and all game it was a long ball up to ALF, I don't remember him winning one header, I felt sorry for him, he had no support what so ever. I get the feeling that the players have to play to the tactics, not the tactics to the player and if he wasn't going to change his style then he needed to bring in players to suit his style.

I agree with the general consensus that it is time for a change. Fresh start, fresh ideas

PP is appreciated more for the impact he’s having off the field than on it.

says it all really

Next season all going well we'll have an entirely new team.

Parkinson has shown he's not capable at championship level.

We aspire to be in the championship and higher.

Why not build this new team to totally fit a new manager.

On Magennis, I suspected an ongoing fitness issue, because the alternatives were so piss poor that there had to be a reason why he featured so rarely or would just do 15 minutes at the end of a game.  Maybe that was all the injections would cover? It also seemed like there was a disconnect between the recruitment process and the manager which is never a good thing. Did PP want Oztumer or was he presented with him?  Was the owner using his football agent contacts and that process determined which players were made available?  We don't know and likely won't for a long time.

See this is where the problems begin. Its highly unlikely next season will be anything more than a desperate scrap for survival with the remnants of players left and a few very cheap freebies plus the kids who stick around.

It may be that some rich group buys us out of admin but the timescales even then are tight.

You say we "aspire...." but we have no idea what we can realistically aspire to right now. New ownership (depending on who it is) may aspire to run us sustainably in league one for all you know.

You wouldn't buy wanderers if you wanted to do that, it would be very difficult and expensive.

This for me hits the nail on the head. Was Doidge even his signing?

Disagree. There may be people who want to stabilise the club perhaps in a few years get back to the championship then sell it. The ST for example might be trying to buy it on that sort of a model.

There may be others who want to invest heavily but as Iles' article points out most sides who enter administration take a fair old time to recover. We are a long term project.

No football club has exited administration quickly either - so the idea we'll be done and dusted in a month is unlikely too. We'll lose this summer probably.

Taking the Sheff Utd home whopping out of it I think when Ameobi went off injured early against QPR (home) that we lost a bit of belief and it snowballed to where we finished. Ameobi nor the team where quite the same from that point imo. I think him and Pav where making a good combo down the right early on.

You might as well just give up now then, pack it in. We'll just fade away into obscurity, be playing on a football pitch some where near red lane.

Indeed get him a job as a pr man or community officer then everyone would be happy

I agree, I think PP made Ameobi pivotal to our success, but he was too predictable imo and teams cottoned on to this and just pretty much kept him on his right foot. There is only 1 game this season where I thought Ameobi was a game changer and that was away at Preston

What? Being in league one for a year or two isn't giving up. We're where we are. And have to deal with it and get on with it. Might take some patience and understanding from fans is all while the mess is sorted out. You don't just click your fingers and make everything great. This is a bit like the 80's. We're fighting for our existence but we will rise again. But in the meantime we have to suffer through a bit of shit.

Sick of this defeatist shit, if you're happy visiting Accrington with about 5 guys and a donkey, so be it, I think we can do better than that.

Its not about being happy. Its about not thinking we're a quick fix necessarily. We still exist and will play next season. For a while that was in doubt. Its great we'll still have a club. I'd prefer us to be in the premiership but realistically, as things stand that is light years away. As is being a championship side. Things can change quickly in football but until we have new owners and know what their aims and resources are - we simply do not know. I'll support them whether we're off to Accrington with a load of donkeys or destined for promotion with Chinese billionaires in charge - but the likelihood is whatever happens the next couple of seasons won't be pretty. But we've been here before and risen and we will again.

look on the bright side at the rate leeds are going we will be in the prem before them.(joke)

If Parkinson is still manager next season, the stadium will be empty - not many fans will want to pay to continue watching the boring, negative, anti football shite that he classes as football

New owner = new manager, IMO there is absolutely no point in anyone buying us if they intend keeping Parkinson. We need a new manager with fresh ideas and who wants to play decent football, with the 12 point deduction its doubtful that we will have any chance of promotion - but we should still comfortably be mid table so if the football is decent to watch and the fans can see some progress in on the pitch, I think that they will settle for that, knowing that the season after we can have a go at going up.

The football we played in League 1 under Parkinson last time was not much different, it was shite, hoof ball football with probably the 2nd best squad in the league - he doesn't know any other way of playing, his football philosophy doesn't include the attacking side of the game as he doesn't know what to do with attack minded players.

Disagree. I think that many will turn as we (hopefully) have a new owner and the negatvity that has spread through the fan base will have been lifted. Remember we will all have had three months of no football.

Why do people say "we should still comfortably mid table" - it makes no sense. The squad we have now consists of 7 senior players and some of them may be planning to leave.. But we should be comfortably mid table - on what basis?

You need to fuck off with all the doom and gloom, take a break and have some fun, you never know you may enjoy it.

It was a genuine question? I'm far from doom and gloom. We're free of Ken and can rebuild the club. But its just ridiculous statements about next season before we even have an owner let alone a squad that I'm questioning. Can people not accept a couple of seasons where the priority is to rebuild the club and hopefully stay in league one? Or is patience now so low that unless by some miracle we're heading for promotion people can't accept it?

Nobody knows the outcome of this yet, but you cannot in all honesty predict what next season will bring, maybe it will be a couple of seasons in a transition period, maybe the Chinese come in and build a team we all dream of, BUT it's all conjecture, and dreaming of a better future is NOT ridiculous, it's what fans do.

Quite. May as well go and support Macclesfield.

Whilst being under no illusions of the potential difficulties next season may bring, the hope of seeing a team being allowed to express themselves and go for a win is something to cling on to.

Winning a game that will be a novelty
