F1 is back

Looking forward to this season

Changes to the front wing supposed to mean more overtaking - lets see

Tyre compounds simplified

Just sat down to watch recording of qualifying. Be interesting to see if Hamilton still dominant but Red Bull the big curiosity for me this year. Will they move forward or slip back into the pack?

I think over time he's earned most of that luck. He earned his place in the best car by excelling in lesser ones. He gambled on Mercedes when they weren't the finished article. Today with pole he mayb

I think they should put Bottas in Hamilton’s car

Do they need to replace him? Isn't it a dead rubber?

6th place incoming

With George Russell being a Mercedes driver why not put him in Lewis’s seat and see what he’s got going up against Bottas. Let Williams sell his seat for the race to a F2 driver.

Russell is one of the options with him being contracted to Mercedes

Sponsorship fulfilments

I think whoever gets the drive will find it hard. Especially if they have never driven that car before. I would expect Vandoorne to get the seat.

It would simply end up the same as bottas original car. The car is identical. It’s just the set up which is set by the driver and race engineers. His own race engineer works with him because that’s who he wants to set his car up etc. all he would do is get it set up the same way so it would just become a clone

You may already know this or course

Just a shame he misses the opportunity to keep adding to his records.

I do know, it was tongue in cheek.

But it might show the naysayers that Hamilton is simply a better driver

Agreed. Can’t see how anyone thinks he’s not a mile ahead of anyone else in terms of ability

Only Alonso and Vettel from the hybrid era would challenge Lewis in identical cars IMO

Not sure you can refer to Hamilton as a hybrid.

I’ve said it before and proven time and time again with Max, he’s too rash and reckless, because of his age he’s lacking discipline but I’m a fan of him, I’m hoping he replaces Lewis should Lewis retire

I went to my dads track day experience and I sat in a Renault test car, didn’t drive it ,  I doubt I could even get it started, it bent my head listening to the guy explaining what you need to do, never mind doing 150mph through a corner

Certainly a scary thought.

Like any top level sport, difficult to fully appreciate just how good some of them are.

What I took for granted as well is the seating position, there’s less room than a sleeping bag and you’re basically lay down, even though they’re driving a car, with the length of time they’re in them, they have to be super fit and strong, and absolutely nuts
