April 15, 20197 yr It's all a bit chaotic down there at the minute, they reckon they're going to be working in shifts, and could be there for at least two weeks the loons. They do all seem to be having a good time though, and the bloke on the radio earlier said it was a nice atmosphere.......won't be long until some swampy types start kicking off though I'm sure Climate change does need to be looked at, but I'm not sure that snarling up the capital is going to make much happen Water cannon the lot of them

But if there's one issue that's worth getting yourself arrested for - it's the government's lack of action on climate change. And not just ours - it needs to be tackled worldwide. The protestors just need to be careful they don't alienate too many people in what they're doing. But by fuck - somebody has to do something. It's literally an existential threat.

I've not looked at the vid, but you can bet there are anti someone banners etc. This shouldn't be politicised, as you say it's beyond one nation etc. We're not always the quickest at this in this country; and I'd like us to lead to world- see it as an opportunity to incorporate the environment within the economy, indeed base the economy around it and look to export technologies etc.

By far and away the most pressing issue facing the country and the world in 2019. Scandalous that it isn't higher on the agenda. Not sure extinction rebellion's approach is necessarily the best but at least they're doing something to put it front and centre.
