To be fair, he was a dick.

He was. It just used to make me laugh how people thought he was directly responsible for all of Bolton's ills.

He was a fat fucking turboMong and I was glad to see the back of him.

Trivia: he kept a supply of 12 Carrs Pasties under his desk, and every day he’d eat 11 and fuck the 12th one with his tiny widgie.

Then eat it

He was.

But it's made absolutely no difference to the town. Apart from Carr's run out of pasties less frequently.

Christ it’s so barren round there. National park my arse. Strange that people seem more annoyed by one tree than they do by the utter devastation that sheep cause to the landscape.

At least sheep aren't deliberately being a cunt

My response would’ve been to ask, “Who to?”

Because I’m a pedantic fucker.

Well I've never used a stump grinder but apparently a few 1 footed people have 🤔

Course they are. Evil bastards, they're the white plague.

Tasty white plague keeping us all warm

Go post on vegan ways! 🤣

Family used to be sheep farmers.

I spent a few years joining in.

Thick as utter fuck they are, sheep, but the countryside would be shit without them.

Beef with the National Trust is the latest rumour I've seen

Is this the vegan ways you're referring to? 🙂 Forest Green Rovers - Official Fans Forum (fgr.co.uk)

Bit strange that the fluffy ballbags are worth 0.04% of GDP and are used over 50% of our land. Decimating trees and wildflowers everywhere. And we wonder why we're in the midst of a biodiversity and mass extinction crisis?

I'm under no illusion though, these kind of posts are still laughed at and seen and ridiculous. We still think we're above nature and don't understand that healthy ecosystems are intrinsic to our survival. It's why we're fucked.

Disingenuous that.

If it wasn't sheep, it would be some other farmed product.

Given that a lot of sheep are grazed high up, the land there isn't suitable for arable crops neither.

It's all very well adopting an idealistic approach, but it doesn't put food on the table. Which is compounded by the push to move farming towards a less intensive, more diverse approach to production.

Also a need to create much greater proportion of woodland, as well as build hundreds of thousands of new houses.

They're not completely compatible, so something has to give.

But bollocks to all of the above, let's keep expanding the size of the nation by allowing hundreds of thousands of folk in, in an unsustainable manner.

Idealistic 🤣 There's plenty of evidence that it is detrimental to biodiversity and native woodland growth.
Upland sheep grazing impacts biodiversity and will take decades to recover - News - University of Liverpool

You only need to take a walk on one of the endless sheep farms to see how fckn barren and terrible for wildlife it is. Got nothing to with other types of farming. Given that so much of it is exported, and that the farmers have more wool than anyone could ever possibly need, it's disingenuous claiming we need the current 30 million plus sheep to put food on the table.

I'll not bother with your immigration rant, bit irrelevant to my point to be honest. Save it for your UKIP and Lee Anderson loving pals. x

I would,  prefer lamb to beef.

You can't best a nice warm woolen garment. Jumper or jacket.

Or a wool carpet under your feet.

Kebab shops, ritual slayings at the local mosque, pensioners with their lamb chops, Toby carvery’s offering shoulder of lamb.

Its a British institution

It doesn’t need to disappear. As with many other farming methods, the practices need a massive rethink.

But everyone just wants to crack on as normal and leave the change to another industry 🙉 Anyone but us.

It’s incredible when you go to an area where deer & sheep are sustainably managed. It truly takes your breath away. Glen Feshie  estate in the Cairngorms would be the perfect example, well worth a visit. The surrounding grouse moors & sheep grazing hills host a tiny fraction of the plants and wildlife.

TMJ will be along shortly blaming the fckn dinghies 😂

What the fuck is wrong with sheep???

And don’t say “they’re not native” because neither are we.

Nowt.

Lots of different types too, some more suited to our environment than others.

Been eating some tasty little Shetland from around a mile down the road.
