My dear old departed Mum would have told us all this was happening way before the virus was even a thing...

It does already seem obvious that lifting lockdowns brings the virus back fairly quickly. Places like Australia seeing spikes.

If the economy is to get back on track, the government really need to push the NHS Capacity agenda and maybe send what OAP's remain to the seaside.

We can't afford another 3 months like this.

They've got to open the economy back up as much as is safe - but to give it the best chance to suceed  they aren't stressing enough of the other stuff - IMO masks should be on all the time when in public places -  there should be adverts on the TV and radio all the time, signposts up everywhere, shouldnt be allowed into shops without one, secondary school kids should be wearing them in class. There shoud be a national drive for people to get fitter, healthier to reduce the chance of having a bad case of covid - how many of the briefings gave us advice to take vitamin D, do some aerobic excerics, get some sunlight, lose weight, stop smoking, eat some fucking brocolli. Large sections of the uk population are thick, entrenched, selfish twats. I'm seriusly considering fucking off to a small hut in a remote part of scotland, spend my day making dry stone walls, gazing at sheep.

ha ha, he's a twat - he's a HR excec that specialises in sacking people, so a vast majority of his life is spent giving misery to folk, which gives him a sense of power and superiority, which leaks into his personal life.

He thinks because he's succesful in his job, it therefore means that he's more knowledgeable than everyone in every topic  - apparently he knows that astra zeneca are involved in 75% of the worlds vaccines because of his time working in Morrisons HR department, and vaccines are dangerous  because he had one in 1998 and had pneumonia a month later (he smokes). 

The reality is he's crap at sport, crap at the family quiz, and loses his shit during picture rounds.
