Car Mot's and coronavirus

Does anyone know where I can get one done this weekend in the Bolton area? With most mot garages still closed (which includes the one I've been going to for years), and the government saying extentions will be granted because of Coronavirus, I thought everyone would be on hold. But I'm hearing conflicting things now. I'm panicking a little now. My mot runs out next week and this weekend is the only chance I have to get it done.

I don't want to go to Germany.

For expiry after 30 March 2020 a 6 month extension has been applied. The vehicle must still be kept in a roadworthy condition, however.

Holland Street in Astley Bridge were open and doing Mots. Not sure if they're open over the weekend though

Also in Astley Bridge, had mine done a couple of weeks ago at Steve Wilson's on Eckersly Rd, tel. 533571, across B/burn Rd. from McDonalds. He's a good bloke, but I don't know if he works weekends.

Mine was due mid April. Checked on DVLA it has been extended to mid October.

Mine was due the week after the announcement about the extension, I'll wait until September now

The six-month extension is only applied 7 days before it's originally due, might be worth checking again

If you're desperate i think most kwikfits are open.

Loads of garages in H Town on Pearl Brook industrial estate open. Dunno about this weekend but you'll be reet getting in anytime in the next week or so.

The panic that engulfed me has now eased. Looks like I don't have to get everything done by this weekend. 👍

What kind of misdemeanor gets you sent to Germany?

Badly painted back doors.

Just booked the car in at Jackson's in Darcy lever on Monday.

No hassle.

😂😂

Wilson’s Vauxhall has been open all the way through for servicing mot’s and repairs.

If your MOT is due now but your car is in good nick, why would you book it in for a test now when you can get a free 4 months? Or have I got that arse about face?
