  • I should add really, my opinion is that im not convinced by the rules to wear them in shops only. To me it probably should be everywhere or nowhere, however, if it makes the little old woman feel safe

  • I don't give a toss if they were made by Logan Roy, they look absolute pony

  • Cheeky cunts, robbing your own fans

Its another example of too much trust being placed in the public. Majority doing the right thing, however far too many ready to just abuse the situation at every opportunity.

What else could be done?

We aren’t a nation who will just do as we are told, generally we need enrolling into something for the greater good.

Which is a more sustainable position.

we could have told shops they cant serve non mask wearers

Or give the rebels an hour a day at supermarkets

Learn from current observations. Difficult, as the cat is already out of the bag, but simply, start getting tougher.

Boris, tell it as it is, and warn cunts that they will be dealt with. Make a high profile number of examples.

I'm convinced that if the government had told us that we should not be wearing them then some of these fuckers would be marching around shops with them on. Owt to make out they know more than the unenlightened "sheeple".

It’s all well saying get tough but I’m finding it’s the shop owners who aren’t enforcing it as they simply don’t want the hassle

Some shops are enforcing that. Just not the big supermarkets and bigger chains

Yep, I had mine in my pocket still as I went to nip in greenhalgh's the other day, just forgot to stick it on. I was swiftly told not to come in without one on.

I’m not arguing here but I know the shops especially the local types will not turn away the custom. In my work I come across a lot of shop/bar/food place owners and I’d say compliancy of mask wearing is maybe 50%

how many have been prosecuted?

How many what?

Why dont you ask green to ask cummings why they cant come up with something worthwhile

Id give cops the power to shut down shops not enforcing 100% mask wear

If you cant or wont wear one, shop online

Last weekends, all the coppers were on overtime

Only focus was licensed premises

And thats a fact

Giving local authorities or the police such requisite powers makes absolute sense. Make an example of a couple. Even better, shop owners can make a few quid extra by selling them to customers arriving without one.

I had to buy one for £1 when I had my haircut last week

turns out that day it became compulsory to wear one having your hair cut

(I put it it on then took it off for ten mins whilst having my beard trimmed)

Haha.

Didn't know you had to wear one whilst having a hair cut. Barber would have to be careful around the ears so as not to cut the elastic. Ping!

Are they supposed to be beard trimming?

Yep. Allowed.

Some beauty treatments not. One on this morning saying all the government are sexist.

I don't get it, surely any woman with a beard can have it trimmed too? :)

I forgot one at tesco earlier

Went to customer service flashing my debit card

Lovely lady said dont be daft, take what you need

Beard trims can be done if the barber avoids activity in the high-risk zone (the area directly in front of a client’s eyes, nose and mouth) for the majority of the time that it takes to complete the service.

Services should be limited to simple beard trims, thinning or removing bulk or length which can be done using either clippers or scissors. This could be carried out from the side or by circling the client avoiding the high-risk zone.

Intricate detailing, outlining or shaving that involves prolonged periods near the high-risk zone should not be carried out.

Visors must be worn. They must fit the barber and be worn properly to cover the forehead, extend below the chin, and wrap around the side of the face.

I can confirm i didn't have any intricate detailing done

Though she didn't wear a visor either

Good on them. Would imagine tesco could afford to give free ones out to everyone coming in.

Surely there must be some Copyright issue here? Unless you've informed the club that you're using their badge to flog stuff of course. Not to mention the after-the-fact claim that it's "for a good cause - but we can't tell you what it is or who it's for"

If you're doing charity work, make it clear that that's what you're doing. Don't be coy about it, then guilt-trip people in hindsight when they don't feel comfortable "donating".

Otherwise, it just comes across as "ROLL UP! ROLL UP!" type behaviour.

Cant comment on anything else and I was as suspicious as anybody

But Smiley is genuinely trying to help somebody out

So if you genuinely dont mind chucking a few quid to a bloke with troubles, buy a mask or two

As others have said - if that had been made clear at the start, there'd be a lot less suspicion. Would have worked out better if they'd posted a donation link (as has been proved on here many times) rather than flogging shite masks without mentioning the good cause.

im not disputing any of that

I just dont want anybody thinking hes as dodgy as i thought he was  :)
