Remember Michael Gove saying on national TV that they shouldn't be compulsory in shops, just a day or so after Boris was suggesting he was going to tighten the rules? If a few thousand people can protest and the police can't/won't cope, then if we had 1m saying "no, thanks" to masks, then there arenn't enough police to stop them. Reporter embedded with them. Younger patrons admitting on camera they weren't necessarily adhering to the rules completely. They'll end up getting them closed again, fucking it up for the industry and those legitimately having a night out.
