am just going to leave bluetooth on

I hope that it tells you there location you were at when you came close to someone

live down the road from a school, so parents park outside on the school run, often standing round for ages having a natter, probably about 5 metres or so from my office, maybe a bit more - anyway I don't want one of them fuckers triggerign me off

If your'e working outside on your own, and you're worried about your bluetooth connecting to someone the other side of a window, just turn it off, or disregard any warnings you get - it won't be law to isolate from the tracing info it gives, just gives you a heads up.

Also remember to turn off the Bluetooth on your Fistmaster, whilst I've always loved the ability to track and monitor the duration and friction of each session, I've found that it's too intermittent and can in some cases conflict and corrupt the data flow with other Bluetooth items (such as the FistMaster-LoveEggs)

Good point, also if your pedometer on your mobile is bluetoothed to your watch, remembr to turn it off when wanking.  I smashed the 5000m world record time  last night without leaving the front room.

I've got it.

I think we all have a duty to get involved to be honest.

You lose your argument about its effectiveness if you won't even give it a try.

If it turns out to be shit, then have a pop. But eventually we have to give it a chance to prove its value.

Anything that gets us out of this shitarse fucking lockdown is worth a go for me now.

Ahhhh i see now, you're talking about the app thing aren't you, ...not the virus.

Don’t need to turn Bluetooth off, you can turn Contract Tracing off in the app and then set it come back on after 4,8 or 12 hours.

Surely it’s easier to turn your Bluetooth off though

I’d say not, it’s 2 clicks. Also your Bluetooth stays on for your headphones, watch, car etc...

any phone older than 2016 isn't compatible I heard on LBC

And their clever bod says without 70% + take up, its not really worth a toss

I dunno, fwiw

I would switch it back on in my car. And it’s a swipe and a click to turn my Bluetooth on or off so much easier than home button to unlock phone into app to then turn on and off.

anyway makes no difference to me as I ain’t turning it off

Sure I heard earlier that Scots had downloaded theirs around 1m times.

Around 20% of the population.

What percentage of phones that equates to, who knows.

Think he said he was after a fresh van, so maybe his current one doesn't have Bluetooth functionality.

We got a 65 plate traffic in December, didnt realise it had hands free 🤣

...we want one to match and replace the other in our fleet. Similar age in Silver. Trouble is theyre all about £2k dearer than they were and there doesnt seem to be many about.

Kind of given up hunting for now and wait till prices drop or summet just pops up. Think DPD and amazon have killed the market.

2k more expensive unless you know someone 😉. Silver quite a rare colour tbf as well so that won’t help. Get a white one and get it sprayed

Aye. Sent an enquiry to vauxhall as their new ones seemed to potentially fit the bill. Finally rang me yesterday after a few weeks, and he said 30k plus. Long lead time too as covid has reduced production, and a major company (might have been British gas) have just ordered a thousand!

Might revisit in the new year

If you do decide to go down that route give me a ring or will catch up when I’m down at my mums for a chat as I can pull a few strings. Not my domain really but I can help you out nonetheless pal
