November 1, 20205 yr No. See Brand Evatt thread. You won’t get any consensus on here; should be gone, Go Wednesday, Salford, November, Christmas, transfer window, end of season, 2 years. May be wrong but I think the majority think a considerable (.... enter your own time here - for me end of season) amount of time is needed to steady the ship and allow the process to work.
November 1, 20205 yr And the cycle begins again. Say he was sacked after Tuesdays game and we brought someone else in, with the players we currently have available how do you imagine they'd have them set up? I suspect we'd go to a more straightforward system and aim to hit Doyle as quickly as possible, when fit. But we'd still be waiting a while for a new keeper.
November 1, 20205 yr Don't mistake this for "he should go", IEs criticism of Baptiste and praise of Darcy offer some hope that he's learning and can be given time, but since you ask, I agree we'd go more "straight forward". I think that with the current squad we'd be 4-4-2 straight away, with an emphasis on being solid instead of wide open like we are now, which can look nice but just invites pressure with only 3 defenders (1 that's very poor). I'd expect to see Brockbank, or Jones, at right back and a left footed left back who's told to forget about trying to attack. With some decent footballers in midfield (lets say 4 of Darcy, Crawford, Tutte, Sarcevic, Kioso but not ruling out others) we'd have more than enough to feed the front 2, when fit. A free agent keeper would surely be brought in straight away - if not, it has to be Gilks in the short term.
November 1, 20205 yr I think we're all adapting to the fact that we're not certs to go up. But I still think the play offs are are a reasonable expectation in what is a very long season. Things will need to change pretty quickly though. Someone mentioned Andy Lonergan the other day. If he'd come - he would be a fantastic shout - even if it's only to see is through till January.

Evatt is at a crossroads he said last week the players are not protected by there contracts.....prove it the are 6 maybe 7 that i would cancel straightaway. Still think we are overloaded especially with centre backs lwb who Evatt got no confidence in. Still think we should have gone 442 or 4312 from the start.

November 3, 20205 yr If he gets potted I want this Chris from Bolton fm as the next manager Bolton’s answer to Alan carr
November 3, 20205 yr Imagine if there were any supporters left in there?, How do you react at the end? Would you dare walk on and applaud the fans? Do you run down the tunnel? Do you turn to the directors box with a look of guilt/symphony? Do you ring yer wife and say be outside with the engine running and bring a cardboard box.
