Whole thing is looking ridiculous now. Depressing to be honest. Not what the family needs to see around her memorial.

I don't know why they haven't just let it go ahead considering they could've chosen to do so and they've previously let other protests go ahead

It's even worse that they've been so heavy handed when one of their own has been charged with the murder

Heavy handed? Give over

Relatively speaking

They had no reason to do what they've done, it was happening anyway and this just inflames tensions

They've tolerate BLM protests, they've tolerated anti-lockdown protests, but they decide a genuinely peaceful vigil being held by women in honour of a young women who has been murdered after being abducted, with a serving police officer being charged with the crimes, is the one to crack down on

Fucking daft

No reason to remove them? How do you figure that out?

If people hadn’t turned up, there wouldn’t have been any trouble.

I don't see it as being held in her honour.

No violence, no damage to property

They were breaking the law by being there. You do realise this I assume?

I refer you to yesterday's court judgement

Going to be awkward if it turns out the Police recruited a serial killer and put him on diplomatic duty with a gun.

It's going to make a cracking film or mini-series one day.

Anyone fancy telling me how making the streets safer could have prevented what happened to Miss Everard?

Short of having her own police escort (I see the irony, don’t worry), what could have been done to stop this obvious nut job from deciding she was the one?

You just don’t get it do you

They claim it to be, but it's beside the point

If other protests have been allowed to go ahead I can't see much reason why this shouldn't be allowed to

As an event of this kind, it's the least likely to result in any kind of Covid outbreak

So the law has been changed has it and we no longer have to stay at home correct? Can you point me to that please as I really want to get out I’m getting tired of this now.

Didn’t it judge it illegal?

Clearly not

I see the protesters

I see their signs saying the streets should be safer

I don’t see how they suggest that be done.

Im honestly baffled, and I feel very sorry for the family who have enough to deal with.

Don’t worry you will get it eventually

This is the key bit for me. Let them grieve. Properly and in peace now is not the time.

@Cheese, I guess?

If it's me he's referring to he's got a good imagination, and I don't know why he can't just come out and say it. 🤷‍♂️

NiC is quiet......has he been lifted wearing a wig, stilettos and white socks ?

No, it judged that their is a right to protest in principle and they can be deemed lawful

I doubt it

This wouldn’t be happening if social media ‘likes’ weren’t a thing.

It won't, but then it's only a vigil (a full on protest wouldn't either)

I'm quite ambivalent about it myself, but if the attention it creates leads to a review of things like this not happening it might be a good thing
