You’re off on a tangent again. No one is trying to deny anyone free speech, just to delay is 48hrs or express it 24hrs earlier. It’s quite obvious that a protest on Saturday is going to attract violence from all sides, this is likely to be in the centre of our capital city on a day of celebration as well as remembrance. Now anybody wanting to participate on what is being labelled a peace protest surely would want to do it peacefully. With over 100 arrests already let’s be honest many don’t want a peaceful protest .

LW has pointed out that the Met has said they can't ban the march on their current intelligence, and have written to the PM to say that if their intelligence that reaches the high threshold where they ask the HS to ban the march - something that hasn't been done in over 10 years (I believe it was the ban the EDF, chew on that Blob fearers) they will do so but as of yet this threshold has yet to be met, and there are other concerns that a ban rather than a proper policed event will actually result in more trouble. Finally, the Met have issued a statement to ask the organisers to move the protest as resources will be stretched at a very busy weekend. The march itself starts after the events at the cenotaph on Staurday (not rememberance sunday), and goes nowhere near Parliment Square, although if anyone is doing remeberancing on saturday in Pimlico you're in right trouble. Is that about it, just so i can ingore the rest of the responses and get on with my Four In A Bed binge.
