While going down a YouTube wormhole I came across a band called Sabaton. Any of you lot heard of them? I hadn't up to last night. Sort of a lover child of Iron Maiden & Rammstein. Anyway I thought they were half desent.

they are very good, seen them a couple of times over here, history mixed with metal whats not to like

Sabaton should probably give 10% of their royalties directly to Steve Harris.

Its basically war metal for lads that still live with their parents.

Steve Harris is a poor man's Joey DeMaio any ways.

Get out and have a right good think about what you’ve just said.

Death to false bassists.

Steve Harris wrote Phantom of the Opera.

Shoot all your arrows but that’s not being beaten I’m afraid.

The courts decision is final.

im not a huge fan of either but manowar are a joke

The greatest thing about Manowar is that they take it all seriously.

Bands that people like because they're fun and a bit of a laugh but don't seem to realise that always somehow make me like them more. See also Hollywood Undead, Hed.pe

There was sommat on Sky Arts about metal and they had the bizarre idea to include that bald basket's opinion alongside the likes of Tom Araya, Ozzy etc.

Pure shite - neither here nor there.

also there , Dio was outstanding  and Whitesnake was Whitesnake, always but on a good show ... 3 out off my top 10 front man on the same bill, must adimt i thought ZZ Top were bobbins , seen then many time since and they have always been good , I think Donington was jut 2 big for them to come across for me anyway

Whitesnake did write an anthem to wankin' (Here I go again) up there with Billy Idol's 'Dancing with Myself' as a torch song to self-polluting animals the world over.

Also strange as Coverdale was with Tabby Kitean and Idol was dating Kate Bush - so why masturbating songs?

MTV to Manowar: “We're Sorry About All The False Metal” | The Tyranny of Tradition real men like metal.

They thought that photo shoot was a good idea. And not some sort of spinal tap style comedy.

There's so many similar photos out there of them. Also they say in Kings Of Metal they 'like to rock not pose' and 'wear jeans and leather not crackerjack clothes' both of those rules are broken in one photo.

They signed a contract in blood and spunk iirc.

There’s a story that Dave Wyndorf out of Monstermagnet (amazing band) once spiked loads of fans in an audience one night with LSD and the gig was going great, until he confessed onstage and they all went fucking mental.

Its probably bollocks, but he’s the type that’s capable.

They used to spike the punch with acid at The Warehouse (the real one not the Mickey mouse ripoff shit bag Manc one) and the crowd liked it.

Someone else not me took Ecstasy at a Brutal Truth gig, it was bizarre, me I mean not me and my (someone else's) mate both felt like we were in a bubble.

Grindcore and MDMA don't mix, a stranger told me, not me.

Might be the same mate I knew. First time he tried ecstasy he loved it that much he had 3 pills before 1am and tried to dry hump every person within a 20m radius. He said he meant it in an affectionate, non sexual way but we all think he might have jizzed in his keks at some point.
