  • Got too love the Aussies.😅 Loads of Bolton fans here.  We were at the traffic crossing yesterday and an Aussie/British family stood next to us. The young lad, about 9, kept staring at my son’s

Struggled to think of words. There aren’t any.

😊 Really chuffed for Tom Hartley. Took a lot of character to come back from that difficult start.

Helluva win that. Big crowd in for India’s procession made it even sweeter.

Of course.

Debate this morning with my lad in Oz. whilst watching the last half hour. Pope or Hartley for man of the match?

If Pope hadn’t hit his 196, Hartley wouldn’t have had his chance to do what he did. (He went for Pope, I went for Hartley) A case of head over heart.  I’m too much of a romantic.😊

First thing I asked myself as it finished.

Reluctantly, I went for the batsman, for that reason.

Stokes is a magician.

Wikipedia says Hartley is an Everton fan.

Perhaps Pope was man of the match. :)

Believe at one point England were 20-1 to win the game, probably when we were 5 down in our second innings. Today was pure theatre. I actually stated to a few mates that even if we lost I wouldn’t be too fussed as we’d shown some bottle and backbone. In the past we’d have lost by an innings and had our bellies tickled in our second innings. And to some point, we did until Pope came to the crease.

It does annoy me how the Indian crowds go wild even when they’ve only hit a single.

I saw the win percentage thing earlier, even as England were fighting back, it wasn't high to say the least!

Even when they were 7 down, England were favourites but India still had a surprisingly high chance.

Ashwin, I expect. Such a solid person, but his bottle went in the heat of the battle.

Interesting to see the Windies pace attack rip through the Aussies. Joseph with 7 wickets.
A bit different down under from the India tour.

Test caps for the Bowlers in the 2nd test

Hartley 1

Rehan 2

Bashir 0

Anderson 183

Mental that really. Two of them wasn't even born when Jimmy made his Test Debut and Hartley was only 4 :)

Didn't one of them interview Princess Di? :)

Good luck to them.

What’s your thoughts now?

332 with 9 wickets in hand. I think psychologically we wanted to be around 330 with all 10 wickets intact. That would have been a slight moral victory on the day.

Still a long way to go, but that's a reasonable start.

Need another big innings from someone again I reckon, but a chance.
