June 25Jun 25 I can't imagine any bowler makes much of a difference on a pitch as flat as this but Ollie Robinson must be laugging his cock off
June 25Jun 25 That was poor today. Why bowl short on such a benign pitch? Weather is our only chance of not losing this match imo

June 26Jun 26 Good day today. Decent bowling at last Superb century from Duckett albeit lucky after the dropped catchNZ fell into the same bowling trap as us and were shiteLove their keeper btw. Properly restricts us by standing up to the stumpsGot to get a big score as that pitch is going to be a mare towards the end when we bat last
June 26Jun 26 Been out all day so restricted to occasional TMS commentary. Jeremy Coney is great. Only seen a little of the highlights so can’t really give a decent opinion of the days play but obviously, Duckett and Bethells knocks were welcome and to be honest, overdue. Despite my obvious positivity earlier, all three results are still possible. (Weather permitting)

June 28Jun 28 A just like that, the pendulum swings towards usWe're well up against it, but an opportunity here
June 28Jun 28 Stokes announces his retirement from international cricket! Strange time for the announcement to come out.
June 28Jun 28 Think it's just the epitome of a regime that has, quite frankly, become a cancer that needs to be purgedStokes fucking off should just be the start.
June 28Jun 28 Monumental cricketer and leader, hes going to be a massive miss. Hopefully we dont go back to the days of instructing our number 3 batter to simply bat out 100 balls, scoring optional 🫠🫠

I think he’d still have a lot more to give.I mean he’s just done it again, there’s nobody had moments in cricket like he has.Of course there’ll be more, but if he doesn’t break a midnight curfew would he be announcing this today?Hounded out - by whom yet, it’s not quite clear, but IMO certain elements of the press, the ECB hierarchy and social media twerps should be embarrassed by this. All the off-field shite doesn't exactly scream professionalism. He can go back on the lash now without any consequences! Edited June 28Jun 28 by jmjhb

His latest one is pretty small fry. On the sports field he’s been immense, you’re not hearing anyone say a bad word about his captaincy, his leadership and his contributions to the game. As a coach, a governing body, a club, an establishment, you try to do find a way to navigate a way around this, so that we see these sports stars entertaining us.Sounds a bit “do-gooderish” to me that we are seeing Stokes fucking off as some kind of pivotal move that is needed for the good of English cricket
June 28Jun 28 I think it's been pretty clear for a while now that there's been a rift between Key, Stokes, and McCullum and it seems this is ultimately the end resultI suspect he's retired in the sense politician resignMatchwinning knock tomorrow?
