The Royal Marine family man has been charged amongst other things with dangerous driving and that includes on his own road where he lives. Might negate any defence he was reacting to the crowd attacking him.

there was a suggestion intially of drug-driving but doesn't appear he's been charged with that

There's no subject in comedy that should be off bounds. 

During this little episode he lost the battle when he lost his temper and rattled off a tirade about scousers straight from the 1980s littered with time old 'jokes' that aren't funny or relevant anymore.

He made the mistake of thinking being controversial was

more important than being funny. 
 

He is hardly such a big name that venues will be making loads of money when he turns up so cancelling him is no big thing to them.

It is pretty pathetic to play the ‘I am edgy’ card and then fall apart when people decide they do not need him playing their events. Assume if they told him by writing a limerick that would be ok ?
