Spikey
Went watching him last night, less than 400 downstairs in King George's Hall in Blackburn. Really good as always and a great paper cutting from the Lancashire Telegraph of a porno shoot at the Moorcock Inn http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/15570745.Derelict_pub_used_to_film_unofficial_porn_film_to_be_demolished_after_seven_year_battle/ You could script this stuff!

Seeing As - Let's Help A Friend
Radio aid is a fantastic bit of kit, links in to Erin's cochlear implant and cuts out a lot of background noise so helps her concentrate on who is talking to her. Helping massively. We have also used some of the money towards a pair of Piedro sandals. She has boots through the orthotics clinic but they give her some real pain through her feet which causes all sorts of issues. The sandals give her the support she needs without as many problems but can't be worn all the time due to being unable to strap her feet unto her wheelchair. £155 for a pair of sandals! Welcome to the wonderful world of special needs / disability equipment. As always, thank you all and will keep you updated.

The waste in the NHS is unbelievable. We supply into estates and NHS Trusts and can save them an absolute fortune......but there is little interest as energy sits on someone else's budget. Pull them together and run the simple stuff as a business and they'd save enough to fund extra staff. The service we get with Erin is second to none though, never had a single.complaint.

Wanderers 2-1 Sheffield Wednesday
One huge difference yesterday.....we were on top for the first 10-15 minutes and scored. Had same happened in a couple of other games, Brentford for certain, we'd have won those too. Heads have gone when we have not scored. Vela, Ameobi and Henry the other well documented differences .

Had a listen today, sounds decent. Might give them a watch on tour

So, quite willing to give £300k to a business with no knowledge of whether they are fit and proper? That alone surely is worthy of further investigation?

Slugs In The Kitchen
Neighbours told us yesterday they've just had to replace a full conservatory because ants had eaten the timber, hollowed it out. Slugs all over out garden every night and morning but thankfully never in the house. Snails regularly up the wall or door.

Wanderers 0-3 Brentford
Not having players as good as the opposition I can live with, especially given the off-field shite. Not having fight and spirit is unforgivable and that's what I am seeing each week. Not setting up a team to be difficult to beat and no shape or real visible game plan is down to the management team. Playing players out of position and not being able to motivate or inspire the players is another management failing. I accepted it was going to be a tough season and 4th bottom is a success but never in my darkest nightmares did I think it would be this bad.

'craft' Ale...
Had a call from Beer52 this weeks offering 2 free bottles with my next box. Told them I was cancelling so they dropped price to £15 and still got 2 free. One bottle retails at £5.75!! Apparently it is standard practice to drop price to £15 if you call to cancel

Dewsbury
I'd be taking Dewbury over something making you ill every day of the week mate. I do stupid miles so probably not best to give advice as I rarely do the same route twice in a week. It only takes a bump and you're screwed but that can be true from one side of town to the other. Times are decent to avoid the worst of the traffic.

Bolton Half Marathon Cancelled
That's what was in the email I've read. Notice it hasn't been publicised anywhere

Bolton Half Marathon Cancelled
Council suddenly want £27k for the toad closures despite a previous agreement. Absolute farce, you only have to look at Wigan 10k next week to see the benefit these events bring to a town. Wonder who's pocket that fee was for?......
