  1. Be a lot easier getting people to adhere to lane discipline if the inside lane weren't full of wagons doing 56mph
  2. Not seen many vans doing 60mph on the 62.
  3. Not put any money on him but really want Day to win it now.
  4. Sounds like one of those players in the early Champ Mans who scores buckets of goals.
  5. Get thyself in one of those ruin pubs. Cracking. Something like Szimpla Kert was the one we spent a lot of time in. The baths are a great way to get through a hangover too.
  6. Assets were only slightly bigger than the liabilities. No argument from me on the criminality. Surely people have been locked up in the US for similar?
  7. In terms of the size of its assets RBS was the biggest company in the world in 2008
  8. Aye. Might be the last one I do. Costing nearly the same as train and 2 nights accomm.
  9. On a training course and there's a Sheff W fan who confirms what's been said about GM. Good in League 1, not had a proper crack in Champ, headcase who scraps in nightclubs too often.
  10. I don't care if we lose this - just enjoying the sport. Australia totally different matter though.
  11. Remember seeing a Celebrity Come Dine With Me featuring Hatton, Edwina Currie and Rod Liddle. Jesus Christ. 3 professional arseholes.
  12. Becchio been released. Was good for Leeds but don't had much of a sniff at Norwich.
  13. As someone who works on said programme I can tell you it wasn't scrapped and that a lot of it does work. Big mistakes made during it yes and there are too many middle managers and too much has been spent on expensive contractors unnecessarily, but a lot of that is due to direction from Government.
  14. Thirty years on, I have seen a fire report submitted by the Timber Research and Development Association, the one independent body to carry out an inspection of Valley Parade’s main stand before the tragedy, that concluded it was “extremely unlikely that a small source of ignition on its own, say a cigarette in a plastic cup, could have been the primary cause”. The association felt so strongly about it this entire passage was underlined in black. (Link also starts with piece about Blackpool) http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2015/may/02/karl-oyston-blackpool-tangerine-nightmare-stan-mortenson
  15. PS Brand is a tit but if he manages to get youngsters engaged and interested in politics then that is a good thing in my view. The Punch and Judy nature of the main parties is a massive turn off to a lot of people.
  16. http://www.theguardian.com/business/ng-interactive/2015/apr/29/the-austerity-delusion Nobel prize winning economist Read it
  17. Too soon. Some of us are still grieving.
  18. "Bolton have lost home and away against all the top four, and taken just one point – a goalless home draw with Ipswich – from the current top six, a record so dismal only Blackpool can equal it."
  19. Same goes for me. If I had to pick one from the Top 6 to go up then Bournemouth all day long.
  20. Sardinia yes. Few days in Alghero decent place and then a drive over to the Costa Smerelda very pretty coastline but if I went again I'd go farther down the East Coast. I bet Cagliari would be a good base to start from.
  21. No concerns for me today re Wolves doing the job but can see Rotherham losing both games.
  22. And if you cannot shake off that idea that Gordon Brown was profligate, one final set of figures. Between financial years 1979 to 1996 (the 18 years of Conservative government), the deficit averaged 3.2% of GDP. From 1997 to 2007 it was 1.3%. Now maybe the Conservatives were a bit unlucky with having two recessions on their watch, so the equivalent cyclically adjusted figures are 2.6% and 2.1%. One last time: Labour fiscal profligacy is as mythical as the unicorn. http://mainlymacro.blogspot.co.uk/2015/04/mediamacro-myth-3-2007-boom.html?m=1
  23. Or Bolton to win & BTTS 19/1Or Bolton DNB 17/2 Wilson to score and Bolton to win 80/1
  24. The Alan Partridge plate?
