  1. Who bought the majority of the players? Even so the players were made to look shite because of the way they were told to play. They were much better last week when we played two wide men & looked very positive but Megson lost his bottle again ,pushed everyone back behind the ball & it is just not good enough. Bruce really showed the way today.
  2. What on earth was the korean lad doing. He tried to beat men ,go forward, run past people & shoot-He mustn't have understood one word Megson said to him!!
  3. At least Megson thought we were unlucky & that we recovered well in the second half. The problem today was purely down to the usual negative tactics. As before no Gardener no flair no movement no goals! He is 100% to blame for the rubbish served up today.
  4. After watching the Hibs game I was pleasantly surprised with the style of play. We generally played 4 4 2 using Rick G & Taylor as attacking wide men. Passing was much better & long balls reduced. The problem is that now we must take a positive attitude into every league game. That is where Megson failed miserably last season. We now have a team capable of pushing for a top 8 place but GM has to believe it! I will reserved further judgement until after we have stuffed Rafa's men.
  5. The "20" fans have again produced an unsavoury reaction from a fuming Megson. When Rob Styles went over to him to caution him for his moaning several thousand fans jokingly started to chant "off off!" This infuriated Megson similar to the Blackburn episode. He then turned to the fans behind him & muttered effin W**rs in front of many children. Megson seems to think that it is only the fans within his earshot that criticise him & that the totally negative tactics are everyone else's fault but his! He has stooped to making complaints to the police against fans who do not abuse him but merely comment on the defensive tactics. This man needs a sense of humour . I think all fans have been extremely tolerant this season but credit where it is due because he has managed to keep us up despite playing hardly any football!
  6. It wasn't even in the penalty box either!
  7. Megson has made a fatal mistake in slagging off his fans. He should have asked himself why did I go from hero to villain in 45 minutes? Instead of blaming himself he tried to make out that in some way it was the fault of the fans. After an excellent first half he decided to sit back as he always does. Blackburn were no better our players were not tired but because of his tactics he blew it! Every fan I spoke to could not understand why Nolan was brought back into the side or why he was kept on for the whole match when having an appalling game & openly arguing with Taylor after trying to blame him for something which was his own fault! Secondly he continues to overlook our only positive midfielder Gardner the one player who could have instantly removed the pressure off our defence. The final whistle saved us from another negative decision when at the death he tried to bring on Shittu & play 3 centre backs even though that particular move had just cost us 2 points against Man Utd! He constantly undoes his good work with poor tactical decisions & team selection based on favouritism. Bolton fans are pretty patient (compare with Liverpool & Benitez last night) so when things hit a low like last night the manager must realise there is something wrong and he is being paid to sort out .
  8. Don't worry Nolan's doing extra training to try & finally get fit. Personally I thought Basham had a better game than Big Kev has had for 3 seasons!\\\\\\\\\\\\\\but we still need a play maker & a postive manager.
  9. That's ok but he didn't score the penalty! Up to now Megson is doing a reasonable job but he must move us up a level. He has bought good players but he must have the confidence to attack teams. Even if we had Messi according to our manager he would be playing alongside Nolan & who knows it may be a great partnership. But it is wrong to think that a supporters opinion cannot be on a par with that of a manager etc as there are some pretty intelligent folk on these sites which is more than can be said for some players & managers! After 48 years of watching BW I am able to make a pretty good assessment of a player's ability as are the majority of fans.
  10. Even they realised how Bolton would play! But in fairness I feel with Elmander's ability we woulld have won that match & let us hope he is not badly injured & can take penalties! Any news on his injury?
  11. No They are the ones that attract fans to watch entertaining attractive football, Sadly it is not only Bolton with this problem as the National is just as bad, hence the empty seats at the Reebok & Wembley.
  12. Jimmy Bullard was awesome for Fulham but when Megson states he could never envisage picking a team without Nolan then I feel we have big problems & it is pointless buying any more midfielders until he gets real. Without Elmander we are clueless at opening defences & flare players like Gardner & Riga must play.
  13. Al Habsi should keep his place then he may consider signing a long term contract . Jussi should stay on the bench because if he asks for a move we can demand a good fee. Jussi whilst being a great keeper was not consistent last season & must prove himself to be better than Ali. Use your nouse Mego & sign them both up then you have a choice between the best keepers in the prem.
  14. This is a great fixture to indicate Megson's approach to this season. If he sits back & defends with a negative attitude as per last season then we will lose. If he is positive & realises that this is a game we must win then we will know he has learned his lesson! This is a must win match we are much better than Stoke so let's set our stall out to put them in their place before they do it to us! We desperately need to sign some quality ball players otherwise it could be a kick & rush season ! We need players with Diouf's confidence on the ball.
  15. The problems lie firstly with Megson's negative approach & secondly the inability of our midfield to convert 4 5 1 into 4 3 3 by working hard enough to get from box to box. We used to do it but now there simply isn't the will or managerial instruction to do it. We have to shoot & get forward as a unit if we are to have any hope of suvival!
