I propose Suptember - a month of nothing but booze.  11 months from now I'm going to be asking for sponsorship

  • Jew lie, 31 days spreading anti-sematic propaganda.

  • Exactly, how sober is sober ? If it's abstentionism you're after, count me out.

not drinking is easy..

easier than you think it will be..

good luck

I've sponsored a mate.  We're getting her a golden ticket this weekend though as we're on the piss.

Good Luck.

I'd have a go but I'm off to Florida on weds for a golf holiday...

(Thinly veiled I'm off away post)

I honestly don't think I could do that, which on reflection is really quite bad.

Think the longest ive gone is about 22 days earlier this year (had nothing on for 3 weekends so didnt have a tap)

I'll sponsor you mate.

I went from 18-29 years old drinking a minimum of 6-8 pints a night towards the end.

It was ridiculously hard and I was a right grumpy cunt in the meantime, but I cracked it.

I still rarely go more than 2 weeks mind...can't miss a Sunday pint with my old fella every week,he won't be here forever.

Get the page up victor...

Don't forget the golden tickets if you're struggling! You can't feel bad as that's money to the charity too.

whisky on a monday

you're ill

I stop drinking every year form the 2nd of January until 2nd Feb and have been doing it for over 10 years. It's like a mini detox and you do feel good after the first 10 days.

Good luck with the October thing. Are you following it up with Movember?

What's a golden ticket?

I want two

Lets get this right, the plan is to stop drinking for a month, no more than four and a bit weeks yet if your a shithouse you can buy a golden ticket for £15 and get as shitfaced as you like and it still counts?

Are you allowed to take E's on this stoptober or does that require a different coloured (sickening) ticket?

couldn't do it to be honest, would struggle to do a week!

Easy when you've never done it.

It's like saying "not shooting up heroin is easy"

True, unless you've been a smackhead for 20 years.

Great effort Meldrew. I've had my last tipple for September and signed up to it as well. We're in it together mate, alien territory from the morning. Long time since I haven't had a drink for this length of time!

I Love a good challenge . We can do this  :help: .

Could I just say bollocks to it all?

Bollocks.

Ithangyou.

What with this shite, stoptober then movember?

Are we no longer allowed to make our own minds up whether we drink, smoke, shave etc? I'll still be supporting my local boozer whilst sticking my change in the charity box.

I can't wait to hear what'll be next.

Shagfree September?

March to work March?

May the 4th be with you (when you're considered a social pariah if you DON'T dress up as a character from Star Wars)

BOLLOCKS

Big hairy sweaty dangly ones at that.

Pass me my ale.....

Perhaps a theme going on here

Not drinking is very easy.

I love a drink, but can quite easily go for months without one.

Sober October and Movember all the rage, yet Rapetember and Gaypril both get nowt but bad press...

Whenever I want a booze free month I just stock-up on PCP, TCP, MDMA and Night Nurse - it's a piece of piss with them to hand.

5 kids now CSW, I might as well sup! ;)
