July 15, 201412 yr I noticed a topic a while ago on these but can I find it? Can I fuckery. Best place for them please? Bolton or surrounding area. Merci beaucoupe.
July 15, 201412 yr Surely somebody will be along shortly saying how you shouldn't buy part worns.....
July 15, 201412 yr Surely somebody will be along shortly saying how you shouldn't buy part worns..... Depends what part is worn.
July 15, 201412 yr My wife walked in on me researching tyres the other day, just as I was typing Bald and Barely Legal into my search engine.
July 15, 201412 yr Surely somebody will be along shortly saying how you shouldn't buy part worns..... False economy. . 25 quid for part worn or 50 for brand new with twice the tread. . Had two part worns on ka and they cracked within weeks from being stood. . It's a cheap alternative but not for me. One at tennison street mill that are dirt cheap.
July 15, 201412 yr Tyres and brakes are two things you shouldn't scrimp on.To fucking true, had a narrow escape today.
July 16, 201412 yr Tyres and brakes are two things you shouldn't scrimp on. unless you change your tyres every day, they'll always be part worn
July 16, 201412 yr unless you change your tyres every day, they'll always be part wornTrue from the tread point of view but with part worn you have no way of knowing the internal sidewall condition, loads of decent ones don't get me wrong, but the fact you can't see any structure damage coupled with the fact that pound per mil of tread it's usually more expensive, it's not a risk worth taking in my opinion
July 16, 201412 yr Some part worns come from accident damaged cars and could have flat spots or damage that you can't see. In an ideal world we shouldn't really be using part worns, but if needs must - Steve at A+B tyres on Viola St, Bolton is as good as anyone in this town.
July 16, 201412 yr I'd rather have a quality part worn Michelin than a brand new budget tyre. JFTR I've been buying part worns for as long as I can remember and never had a problem. Asian place at the bottom of Bertha St in Halliwell. Bloke I know goes to VW main dealer for everything. Services, MOTs, tyres etc. Had a blowout on the motorway a couple of weeks ago .
July 16, 201412 yr VW dealers, Smith Shite Faye or whatever they are called now, I wouldn't trust them to put petrol in my car correctly let alone service the fucker.
July 16, 201412 yr if you want full vw stuff, the works at a fraction of the price bullens near heap bridge bury about 45 quid an hour and full diagnostics
July 16, 201412 yr Whilst we are at it, any recommendations for someone to make and fit a number plate? Halfords want £24 for a rear plate which seems a little excessive.

November 4, 201411 yr Recommended http://www.abtyresbolton.co.uk/ On the WW recommended list, just been, top class.
November 4, 201411 yr Its ok having 'part worn', but you need to have a look at them, minimum 'MM' of tred , compared to brand new. Then look at the amount of miles you do, its common fookin sense.
