Like plenty of others I don't think OC knows what his best team is. Which is seriously worrying. Start by putting Gardner at RB- not a dig at Robbo but he just ain't quick enough,it's been open season on the poor bastard. Spend all week in training on defending but only after sacking whoever is pretending to be defence coach and getting a real one in. Forget all this attack stuff,let's try to stop conceding. Homer, that's exactly what I'm getting at. Hence my earlier post about a defensive coach. Ok, Arsenal will score 4 against better sides than us, but we'll let in 4 against worse teams. We're just way too easy to score on and we're never going to score 50-60 in a season are we? Oh, and we'll beat Villa next week

Trouble is, this is the same group of defenders that let in the thick end of 70 goals last season. I'm sorry but I really don't see how that's going to change. Worries me it does. A lot.

You're right in what you say,I just think what little money we'll have to spend would be better spent on a couple of players who'll step into the 1st team. I actually think with players coming back from injury,we're only 2 or 3 good 'uns away from being a half decent team. Of course,any signing will come with a lot of ifs buts and maybes,I just think wholesale changes are tough. Though if we can get 8 in better than we've got Carlos,I don't think Burnley have anybody better than we have,last 2/3 of their season have been shocking. Add to that the OC/BWFC 100% levy and we'd end up paying over the odds too. All IMHO of course.

If this is true(the 10 players bit),then it's not good news however you look at it. If he's having to sell to raise funds - not a good sign. And if 10 leave,presumably quite a few will be coming in to keep the squad depth up. That didn't work out too well last time we did it. Sorry to be repeating myself from a thread somewhere else but I really feel we want to be signing 2 or 3 players who are better than(or thought to be ) players in the first XI. Otherwise we'll end up with a team full of squad players. Oh aye,and I'll be very disappointed if we sign anyone from Burnley.(Never go back,Owen)
