Two blocks in South Lower have “sold” very quickly all at the same time, without single tickets left in between. After a few days of very few sales. At the same time, the block in the middle of them has not changed much. Cynic in me reckons the club has given a few hundred away (eg to schools) to fill the spaces. Good on them too - better than having the seats unused.
  2. I thought you were in the Chairman’s Suite with your Wanderers Bond?
  3. PPE. Track and Trace. Did we get what we paid for?
  4. Probably a dream with Sober Dan in it.
  5. @gonzo like this, as Carlisle play Blackpool next.

Just look at the Derby goal against us. Put the ball where the player is and you have a chance of scoring. Having said that, we left him totally unmarked, which didn’t help. Our corners inevitably don’t make it past their first man, so we never have a chance.
  7. Some judges make mistakes, no doubt about it (appeals courts are there for a reason). However, as has been pointed out above, the judge may well have applied the law entirely correctly if there was sufficient evidence that deportation would be a risk to this criminal. In which case, the decision might have been correct legally, even if it stinks from a moral standpoint. If that’s the case, your frustration may be better aimed at the law makers.
  8. Based on the video, it’s a bloke who’s angry that people have to do a day’s graft to get paid. Also, he wants to go the pub and moan and apparently you can only do that if you’ve been to London on St George’s Day*. * the official one, not the Wways one.
  9. This pic will add fuel to the nut jobs’ fire…

He was, yes. Maybe he wanted to be on the edge of the box so he didn’t have to jump for a header or run back as far if it broke down 😂

Was at the opposite end of the pitch to where we were, so didn’t see exactly what happened - just saw him go down and stay down, holding his leg.

To add, I don’t remember seeing Santos receive any medical examination during the game. Which also seems very odd. Star man goes down with an injury and nobody goes on to assess him…
  13. Didn’t they extend the early bird discount last season, or did I dream that?

We agree on the last bit, it was a gamble (and we know the boss loves a flutter 😬) We’ll find out whether it pays off when we get an update on his injury and we’re all hoping he’s fit for Saturday. I’m just of the view that with all the muscle injuries we’ve had, I’d rather have played 25 mins against Bristol with Forrester (I think we were 1-0 up at the time) versus the risk of potentially playing multiple games without Santos (including against the league leaders).

😁 Overruled. Factual statement. Him coming off wouldn’t have meant we lost or drew. Him coming off could have resulted in a win (or a draw or a loss).

When’s the last time a boxer threw the towel in themselves? Something a sports star needs to rely on medical staff to do what’s best by them.

This is where I’m at. Him coming off wouldn’t have meant we drew or lost that game. Anyway, we could go round in circles on it. Let’s hope it’s not a bad injury and he’s back for the next game - then it’s a moot point.
  18. Aye. I remember the days of terrorising the Rovers board.
  19. Bottom left, Reading’s finest?
  20. Arsenal hold the box seat. They have some tough games though.

I agree. So why not take him off if he’s injured?

I think we were winning at the time? Could be wrong on that. It’s not saving him for the next game. IMO, it’s not worth risking our captain playing on an injury if it could mean it puts him out of 4 games and the play offs. We’ve seen from Dan and Vic what a muscle injury can do. Evatt says “it was getting progressively worse. All we can do is pray to the stars”. Or he could have taken off an injured player and replaced him with one of the two fit centre backs on the bench…
