I imagine that the people calling for Lineker to be fired / resign for reposting a rat emoji will equally be calling for Trump to step down for reposting this clip.
Plus, he can pick a winner. He just needs to support Bolton, Rangers, Napoli, Benfica and god knows who else, so that there’s always someone who’s won that he can gloat about.
Great venue. Saw Fergal in there. Spotted him again at Earlsfield station an hour or two later and told him to pull his finger out in the next 24 hours. He and his mates chuckled, which was good enough for me.
I’m getting the train to AFC Wimbledon from my local station (in North London) later on and found out yesterday that a school dad I know well will be on the same train - he’s an Everton fan going to Brighton.
Tend to agree. He’s not been that bad.
He’s won flick ons, but has nobody off him. He’s not had a decent cross to attack. He’s not a player to run on to through balls, so no point playing them (hence why he didn’t win the foot race).
Great ball in from Dalby then.
Is it just me or do our physios have a tendency to allow players to play on with injuries when it’s obvious they should be coming off? Risking greater injury.
ACD was clearly in agony and something wasn’t right, but he was allowed to play on - potentially doing more damage. I’m sure we had similar at Bristol (Santos) and I think Orient a couple of years back where players were hobbling on when it was evident they were crocked. Then a day later it’s announced they are out for weeks.
This is the season we need to get out of this league. If we can’t get out this time, we’ll struggle when there are some decent teams dropping down from above.
